You guys are missing the point. This Godane guy is a pawn, a figure head, a prop used by those who are really wielding the true power from behind the scene. He's either dead or isolated somewhere. Thats why you never see this guy. Its always some kinda press release, or some audio of his supposedly talking.
I hate to say it, but if you really wanna fight this menace, you gotta fight those behind this whole thing. The ones really pulling the string. Ceyr and Murursade are the powers behind this, and are you using this Godane guy to reach their objectives. When they are (or if they decide to quit the business of terrorism), they'd either kill him, or just not release any of his propaganda and cut all communication to him. And he knows it damn well too.

The Hawiye are behind Al Shabaab.....they finance, facilitate & populate the terrorist group.
There are powerful interests (war profiteers), whom never want to see a functioning Govt .
They have said this openly, and it's not a secret.
Shabab wouldn't be causing havoc if sidelined clans were not sidelined
These terrorist leaders are powerless if you just shared power with everyone else. Stop having the mayors, governors, police and army chief of the same clan. Stop making some feel like second class residents.
Somaliland is the only one that was successful in this. From a Fiqishini to a Habar Awal, anyone is capable of being President of Somaliland. A Dhulbahante is governor of Waqooyi Galbeed, a Gadabursi was former police chief of Burco.
The southerners make others native to the same area feel foreign. Every gobol from Bari to the Jubbas is guilty of this. Just because some clan may be 10% larger in an area doesn't mean everyone else should be shut out

foreign entities + secessionists are financing and facilitating al shabaab.

Arabman - you see why women are not rational thinkers more often than men if ismahan thinks even the children of these terrorists should be killed. I mean come on, there is a reason why every kid who dies, regardless of his parents religion, will enter jannah.

This was actually proven by western intelligence, if a clan is funding alkabaab, it is darood with pirate money. Think about this, this man kills more hawiye then anyone else, he is making soo many attempts in hargeisa, but he never attacks garowe or bosaso.
