I have a million and more solutions. But I'm not the "President" of SL. Neither am I "Minister of badda iyo cirka" or "Vice minister of dawladaha kale bari".

The water pipeline from ethio to hargeisa won't work, an oromo just might destroy it for the lulz
and to be honest im kinda dissapointed in you hawdian
if you were familiar with sland geography the water in the west (sland)
flows to ethiopia and the water in the east goes to the sea
the Burco-Berbera-Hergiesa triangle historically is scrapsit
has been left behind by Gurgura (Madexweyne Dir) mostly and other Dir (Madigaan etc)
who moved towards the green hinterlands of galbeed, from there on they built Harar, and Dire Dawa and other magnificent cities
they left behind Ancient Berbera as a legacy but since desertification, the fault with isaaq is that they expanded too late, every spot is claimed now, and they are stuck in the dry land with no water, since everyone else basically left for better spots,
seriously the only place they can expand too is more dry hawd land or OG spots maybe.
Maybe yeah if they do digging and shit in those water tables etc they have a chance.
15-20 years the water wars will start and people with be at the mercy of those with the biyo, I lay the fault with ancestors who did not look for the future of their people, a clear over sight, stupidity runs in generations i suppose

Yeah it used to be greener in the past until deserficationXildiiid wrote:Hargeysa and Maroodi Jeex has the biggest underground water reserves in the Somali peninsula. Why would Somaliland need to import water when we only need proper underground water pumps, machines that purify the water, proper pipelines and knowledge on how to maintain our equipment.

There's water shortages in Hargeisa. Xildiid sxb Togdheer has the biggest underground water reserves in the Somali peninsula. Check this
Scientists say the notoriously dry continent of Africa is sitting on a vast reservoir of groundwater.

Re: Who decided Hargeisa should be the capital?
sorry but hargeysa is the worst place for a capital....an hr drive from Ethiopia....really not a good place to call a capital.
I've never been and never will go.
I don't want the capital to be burco either as we don't need ajanabis. we have a good water system and obviously we're very xaasid and don't want to share this with other ppl.
I think erigaabo can be a potential capital.
