Quick question, what happens if I only fast and go tarawiix, is it pointless? And can I brush my teeth in the morning? What about Vaseline on the lips during the day? I've struggled with these questions every Ramadan.

Oh happyone, here's some answers:
1) should be acceptable so long as you've avoided all the usual bad deeds and make your intentions pure. But you're doing the minimum sidaa ogow
2) yes you can brush your teeth & gargle using mouthwash too. Obviously don't swallow and spit it all out, also rinse it out with water.
3) no problem with vaseline, Ramadaan does not equate to cracked & bleeding lips

Khair in shaa Allah. EDIT: If any of this is incorrect it's from myself & the shaydaan (please do correct), and if it's correct it's all from Allah.

BTW my brothers and sisters, we should do a Ramadaan xalaqa islaamiya (duruus islaami ah) here throughout the blessed month in shaa Allah, with all of us continuting, so that we all get ajar and increase our knowledge & iimaan in shaa Allah

I'm not going to taraweex this year, I'll make tahajjud instead.

And before you all pull your guns on me, taraweex was introduced after the passing of the prophet, people used to pray by themselves and Umar (RA) ordered that everyone assembles under one imam, there is more ajar yes, but it is not fardh.

This zubeir kid is on to something, sending your little kids to tarawiix at 11pm and coming back at 12 or 1am is unnecessary and immoral

Umm, i wouldn't go as far as to call it immoral, nor do you have a license to define morality. But tarawih is a sunnah prayer and is optional. What is more important is praying the 5 fard prayers and trying to pray it in jamaaca at the masjid.

The first day always is the toughest, after 2-3 days the body gets adaptive to this pattern of eating>not eating for 15+hours>eating

Weirdest thing, walking back home after tarawiix and a group of atleast 15 drunk Somali teenagers start fighting each other with sticks, North London is quickly turning into South London
