I find the idea of letting

negotiate a "deal" with Shell a horrific prospect.

It is f-king federal jurisdiction. Do these people not understand what federalism is?

Meet up and f-king make up. And demand your fair share in "Mogadishu" both in revenue and political representation. I put Mogadishu in quotations because it's supposed to be the capital of the federal government, not where oil revenue and power is supposed to go completely to 1 clan. Mogadishu is symbolic. It has its own municipal affairs to worry about in the municipal level. Its just the seat of the federal government. Nothing more. Federal government expands the entire country. A man in Mogadishu is not supposed to be more important than a man in Garowe to the federal govt.

How can Somalia move forward with such ignoramouses both outside and inside politics?

The diplomacy and the sophistication of those in villa somalia is simply beyond 'wow'.. I am really trying to understand how they come up with this.. alshabaab is operating in the very same area the government is based at, wars in galgaduud and shabeelaha, drought in the horizon, a fist fight between the pm and president, habar gidir v abgaal in theatres near you. No control of anything outside of mogadishu, not even 50 km away afgooye...and then they want to commercially negotiate lands that have actual governments, active army and believe it or not a better foreign policy with far more balanced international friends..

No chance for this to work, definitely not our land or sea, dont even entertainment the idea of somaliland economic rights thats litterally beyond the borders of the federal government.

This government is by far the weakest of any administration since abdiqasims time..absolutely useless in every essence...

Everybody calm calm down.....nothing will happen for a while.
The SFG is the sole authority representing Somalia...as such it is responsible for the nations natural resources.
Yes.....it's not a prospect that fills you with confidence.....nevertheless, that's where we are right now.

All those whom support regional isolation are in for a rude awakening.....the shadow of Xamar will be everywhere....land, sea and air.
PS if the oil majors were interested in dealing with the regions, they wouldn't have waited 20 years for a Govt to emerge in Xamar.
