Our cats are spoilt. They sleep wherever they want including our beds.

Please meet Gato, left, and Katia, right. He showed up on my door one morning as an adult weighing 25 pounds. We got Katia at the pound as a small kitten. We lost him in 2009. His kidneys gave out and he shrank down to less than 4 pounds. One day he said goodbye and walked away. I looked for two weeks, but never found him. We had him for 18 years. Katia died at home last year at the ripe old age of 21 and we buried her in the back yard.



I waited all of two weeks after Gato died to go down to the pound for a new cat. The bigger one on the left and I became immediately attached, but they wouldn't let me have him without his brother. It turned out to be serendipity. Consider that this photo was taken in 2009. The cat on left is Matt, and on the right, Taanno. Together they are Mataanno. Today Matt weighs over 16 pounds.

My cats have all been very well behaved and quite vocal. They stick close for gardening and like to go for short walks in the neighborhood. They understand "no" and ask specifically for food, attention, water and door service. For the most part, unless they get excited and forget, they even play with "soft paws". I only rarely get a claw in somewhere.......

I adopted my first cat when I was in Erigavo 1984 when I was school boy. I named it samsam. I had had dog as well but as I am not allowed to have it with me, I found CAVEROCK near forest. I use to fed it leftover meat from slaughterhouse.
