Ramadaan kariin SummerRain. I would say it is more of rememberance for many somalis. I don't think many spend money on it; the exception of jaaliyadaha and the government.

P.s. there are reasons to remember even bad days (BTW, I think 26th of June and July 1st are important days for any somali).
