Mulattoes? That's a derogatory term referring to mules and perpetuating racism among mixed Latin Americans. I think you just mean variability, which accounts for different hues. A full Somali can be light or dark and anything in between, you see a spectrum even in families. That's insulting. Not to mention its a bit cooler in the north, particularly in parts of Waqooyi Galbeed and Awdal.

no they can't. and stop with this bullsh*t. Somalis aren't the only people on earth who have different skin colors naturally rather than thru intermixing. Somalis are just like all other peoples on earth who live between the boundaries of two continents. We stradle the east coast of Africa just a few miles away from Arabia and the rest of Asia. So it shouldn't be a surprise that some of our people have features that are part from Africa and part Arabia/Asia.

Those light skin Somalis and dark skin Somalis from the same family are just showing the phenotypes of the two groups of people from whom they descended. In American negros, the same phenomenon is present. There are light skin and dark skin members of the same family. This isn't some natural variability. It is the result of mixing that happened centuries ago.
