I went last year, it was a great experience. Very nice organization, uk somalis doing great stuff in hargeisa. This book fair should expand to different parts in the country too. Too bad i couldn't make it this year.

The largest event of its kind in the Horn of Africa. Very successful and its the 7th year its running. Well done to Somalilanders.

There are many girls taking part in the event. I would say they make the majority. They are just camera shy. Many leading authors are girls including Hamda Mohamed Hussein Egal. The girls also make up the majority of the organizers.
