What I don't understand is that they had an opportunity to release the hostage and gain positive PR. I don't know who runs these guys PR campaign but if I was Bagdhadhi I would have released this hostages and shown mercy to counter propaganda that they are savages but beheading them just confirms it and turns people to hate Islam.

Apparently, western governments need no reason to hate Islam they just do and they also have the mass smear campaign that's designed to get the people hate Islam as well.
