funny thing is somalis don't have near the history/culture of west Africa, lets be real. Their basically projecting their low self esteem on others by trying to nitpick issues in other communities. I can ask why somali woman love Diana just as easily. Anyone who knows history and sees somali's trying to insult west africans will simply laugh. Those that attach us somalis to west Africans in terms of looks are as delusional as those that inject arabism in to us. Dr. Yalaxow is clearly suffering from years of nigger-abuse hence his staunch support for attaching somalis to west africans.

We are africans because the geographic location of somalia is in bloody africa like australia is part of the pacific asia and we are subsaharan simply again because of somalia locating below the sahara desert.

most somalis have the either curly kinky hair (like most black people) or curly soft hair (like you see with black/white mulattos).

straight hair is rare. and usually those people have nicknames like timo hindi.

don't let the extensive use of relaxers by somali women fool ya. they got the same hair as somali men. and if you don't know by now, most somali men have either afros textured hair or curly mulatto type hair. i personally don't know any somali men with "straight hair." but then again I'm from the purely somali Dhulbahante tribe. maybe some of you mixed non-somali clans have lots of people with straight hair.

my father told me there is some subclan of the Warsangeli which are actually Indians from the subcontinent that were absorbed into their tribe. it might explain why some of the coastal Kabalah Darood clans like the Warsangeli and Majeerteen have people among them that look very different than the Kabalah Darood in the interior like the Dhulbahante and Ogaden.

genetics does not equal phenotype brother.

google the andamanese islands. look at pictures of the natives. they look like they are africans. yet genetically they are most closesly related to indians. why? because they were among the first humans to leave africa and settle in the asian subcontinent.

also do you know that the E3b1 haplogroup Somalis belong to also includes the Maasai and some South Sudanese tribes. As well as southern ethiopian tribes like the Dassanech.

LOL. first of all when did west africans become the only definition for black? the maasi or dinka don't look like west africans either? are they not black. are they their own unique race?

also there is nothing unique about somalis. we look the same as the oromo. a tribe who outnumber us 4 to 1. we also look similar to other tribes that across the East Africa. hell there are some West African tribes like the Fulani that also look like Somalis.

stop with this mythology. Somalis are not unqiue. And they are not the only Africans who don't look like Bantu speaking peoples. Nilotic speaking tribes have their own unique look. Same with the Bushmen tribes. The pygmy's also look different. So do Cushitic speaking tribes (like we come from).

There is nothing unique about us. We are just another derivation of the black African phenotype. Accept it.
