What would you like me to reveal walaalo macaan...Haye confession time. I am actually 43, I have a child and I have been married since I was 18. He still calls me macaaney and I just wanted to spread the love. Does me being this old change things? I do not think it would.

Calling your other half by sweet and nice terms is just part of showing affection towards them and of course you can show affection in different ways, it necessarily doesn't have to be by calling them by such lovely terms.

PS. Babe is just the most hated pet name, imo.

With guys it all depends on whether they are the romantic type. Many men do not like to but utter sweet nothings because ladies like to hear it, dumarka ciyaal weey nooqdan marki hadaal macaan laku akhriyo unless they are feminazis or the no nonsense type.

Personally, how can one love a woman and not use terms of endearment. With my potential other half, it would feel strange if I did not address her as huuno or abaayo macaan.

Osman has old skool geljiire values. Prolly does a Saxabaad on the Mrs before carrying her on his shoulder to ravish her. Proper dhaqan Somali stuff.

hahaha @ zumaale

I don't see what is not universal about being sweet. Affection can be shown in many ways. Drawing me pictures, singing little somali songs to me, calling my macaaney and hayati and when the time comes for other fun, that is welcome as well. Doesn't mean macaaney is the only way to get to a woman.

I think you're taking my thread idea here as a be-all-end-all. Nevermind.

I miss talking to this one girl who was aggressive, we use to cuss and diss each other with no one getting offended. Evol give reckless talking a chance.
