What, are you expecting women to have low self-esteem? I have met very prideful darker sisters. Nothing wrong with pride but you're right, in excess it is very off-putting.

Nah, he just means he agrees with the nonsense that most people believe...that our lightskinned sisters assume to be smarter/prettier/an overall better catch. I use to think it was nonsense, but I've seen many people who do behave like that.

yea i hear that a lot too. and its usually the ones that bleach that throw shade at the dark sisters like....and everytime i see a somali lady at a wedding her face is as white as a ghost with powder but the rest of the body is dark as fuck.....like who u trying to fool woman?

but i also noticed that the younger kids embrace themselves more..and actually refer to themselves as black rather than..im arab or half yemani lol

anyways lets throw some shade at the faraxs for a change...i personally don't care about their light or darkness...but if there forehead is too big, or their teeth too fucked up...or lips too dark (meaning they smoke), or are too skinny, its a no thank you for me.

Although I have heard about a preference for lighter skin (in recent decades), never have I heard it had any relation to intelligence by Somalis. In fact, I have heard of the reverse stereotype.
