IMO the most common types of hair texture i see are:

1.

2.

#1 is what most Somalis would call timo jileec. When its cut short it can look straight like timo hindi but grown out it becomes a curly fro. My oldest brother has that exact same texture, and it looked just like that when he grew his hair out. When it was short, some people thought it was straight. #2 is the most common from my experience. still would be considered jileec because the texture is soft but the hair is not as loosely curled as #1. my youngest brother and father have this type of hair texture. #3 is what most somalis would call timo jareer. it looks similar to #2 from a distance but close up, the texture is coarse and more adeeg than the typical hair of most Somalis.

#3 is less common than #1 and #2, but there are a fair number of Somalis with that type of hair. my half hawiye cousin being one of them
