Oneman, I understand saaxib. They could be quite irritating. But, the best strategy is either to engage them and win through arguments or not to engage them at all.

We have to realise and accept that somalis come in different shapes, different lifestyles, different faiths.

Just for the sake of argument ( I don't want one), shall we also ban all the tribalists who condone the death of somalis? majority of the members here could be charged with war crimes if we are to unearth their contributions on these boards?

Lamagoodle, the sensibility of others with different beliefs should be respected, i'm all for it. every time i see a thread promoting homosexuality i feel as though my beliefs are violated. if i'm to accept that this is not a Muslim site then they also need to accept that this is not a Gay site..

like i said, i'm against banning people i have been against that so NO to banning people; that being said homosexuality shouldn't be promoted here period. if you're an atheist then be one, if you're a homosexual then be one but keep it to yourself.

the same people who promote their corrupt life styles online wouldn't do it in real life, that i have problem with.

Make sincere dua for them & us! May Allh swt guide us and them. Amiin

I agree the concern with a lot of the forumers. But I concur with Hyper, and do not want them to be banned simply because they are different, that's just sad.

Secondly, everybody should go back and re-read what hyper said, there is slippery slope here....what crimes did some of them do? At the end of the day, this is Somalinet! I personally came here to learn about out culture, language and dhaqan, and so on that front they should not be banned.

Mods used to move such topics to 'extreme section' Hadaba they should continue with that. Or can DELETE extreme topics, as they have always done. Wey dhamatay.

SahanGalbeed,

Lol, you watch downtown abbey? I want to start myself, but having never seen it, will start from the beginning.

If I were to ban members who do not share my view/lifestyle/ideas/faith etc, there would be only less than a dozen members saaxib.

I do not read the contributions of some members. I do not reply to some threads. We have the choice of avoiding, don't you think so?

Let us be sincere saaxib; where did you find a thread that promotes atheism? homosexuality? I would argue that many are just to created/discussed to provoke and solicit a reaction; and that is where ppl fall into a trap.

Attitudes of tolerance:
Tolerance is the appreciation of diversity and the ability to live and let others live. Most of us agreed that..... Right?

Has that red line now been crossed?
blasphemous
Foul language
Personal attack
Clan bashing
Sodom activism
Indecent topics, posts etc.

If not let others live...and re read site rules

Smh fah are you serious? you would kick someone out for being gay or a non muslim? What kind of site is this?
I'm just so tired of this snet and the up tight, thick headed and ignorant individuals who run rampant and sound no different to isis. Me, soomal and every other nonmuslim or gay individual has done nothing but respect you guys. not once have any of us stepped out of line (excluding abdi J and me) so why attack us? We literally only come here to defend individuals when you lot constantly attack. soomal has never made a gay thread, but the "muslims" here are the ones who sit here bashing "gaalos" and gays and making threads about them. You cannot spread gayness obviously...thats ignorant as hell. And we never once spread atheism. anytime we try to make a thread (once) it gets bombarded by insecure people trying to defend their religion. So i asked a mod to delete it...only to end up getting banned. I used to love interacting with and learning from you guys and the occasional trolling session with julkimi...But this site just went to shit. With the influx of the uptight "we hate blacks and gaalo but love arabs" nut jobs and the ones who can't keep their hands of the repotting button when someone hurts their feelings, snet has become trash with a capital T. I don't even care of you ban for this post, I'm just done with snet. Ya'll are just too much. i don't want to be in a place that doesn't welcome me and bans for my beliefs. Peace out.

With that said...the few friends I've made here and the good people I've met..ill miss you guys. Take care :rose:

I told you several times to seek the company of like minded people. Your atheism is at odds with the beliefs of most Somalinetters. Farewell and may you find Allah again.

Really it's simple. Don't feed the trolls. But if you guys make complaints and argue with them y'all just giving them a platform. And they'll keep doing their thang cause they know their getting under your skin.

I don't get the "spreading your corrupting beliefs" argument.

Nobody has become an atheist after coming into contact with the likes of ciddharta.

Nearly every non-qabiilist has become a foaming at the mouth qabiilist after coming into contact with the likes of emperior.

I was an innocent, kumbaya singing Somaliweynist before joining snet yet after a few months here I fell to the dark side, only to be redeemed by the light of logic. You would think the mods would be more worried about an actual relevant issue in our community than some boogeymen atheists. You have guys like Meyle morphing into Xildiid in a matter of months, and you're focusing on fringe issues like "spreading" atheism/faggotry when you're a refugee literally because of qabyaalad.

Misplaced priorities ftl
