Somalis in the diaspora tend to over exaggerate the situation back home. I used to be like you, thinking Silaanyo was ruining the country. But when my dad went back last year, he's been telling me about the tangible changes that Silaanyo and his administration has done. It may not be much, but better than Riyaale's government. So I would take what's said on here and on Somali "news" websites with a grain of salt, and ask the people back home for information.

Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed became a President of Somalia TFG at the age of 70 and he resigned 4 years later. He was 74 yeas old back then, as he claimed although everyone knows Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed was away older than his prime minister Mr. Nur Hasan Hussein who was born in 1937.
Yet no one questioned his age nor has been asked to leave his throne because he is too old to rule the country.

Mohamed Haji Ibrahim Egal was 74 years old when he passed away, yet no one questioned his age nor has been asked to leave his throne because he is too old to rule the country.

Afweyn was 81 years old when he was forced by opponents of his regime to flee Mogadishu, yet no one questioned his age nor has been asked to leave his throne because he is too old to rule the country. ( http://www.independent.co.uk/news/peopl ... 66452.html )

Hasan Gulaid Aptidon was born in 1916, according to him, and he was 83 years old by the time Ismail Omar Guelleh succeeded his uncle in 1999, yet no one questioned his age nor has been asked to leave his throne because he is too old to rule the country.

Ahmed Mohamed Mahmoud was born in 3rd of Augest 1942, so he was only 67 years old when he became the president of Somaliland in June 2010. He is just 72 now which makes him the youngest among the Presidents mentioned above, yet EVERYONE is questioning his age AND asking him to leave his throne because HE IS TOO OLD TO RULE.

P.S. The funny thing is when people say: " Islaanta talisa misa talaada qof kalay ka timi " :-@
Horta waxaan idin waydeeyay islanta ma ayada ka yare madaxweynaha? Misa asagu laxdan jira ah iyo gursaday?! Hadu khafifay da'a aawadi ayada laftarkiida miyaanay khafiifin misa ayadu da'a oo maa qorna sida madaxweynyaasha kor ku xusan?!! .

Please respect your reader's intelligence. This message is not to Samatar113 only but to everyone. For your information, it is very rare to find any politicians in Somaliland who wasn't born in 1940's. Name it Faisal Ali or Mohamed Bihi Younis or even Muse Bihi who I doubt anyone here knows his real age.

Djiboutian, sxb the few posts of yours I have seen in this forum before where reasonable and intelligent laakiin caawa sidii lax qalan baad gidaar kasta isku qaaday. How can I be wrong if I say that 80 years old people have very hight probability of dying before they reach their 85 birthday. Xitaa Kaadhkiisii codbixiyeha ee 2010kii waxa ugu qornayd inuu dhashay 1936kii, taasoo waliba wakhtigaa la rumaysnaa inay xoogahay is yarayn ahi ku jirtay markaaba. Siilaanyaa dhashay 1942 waa wax lagu qoslo. Cigaalkan aad tusaalaha usoo qaadatayna, you could not have chosen a worse example, waxa laga cararayaaba waa in sidii Cigaal oo kale dhacdo, oo raq Riyaale kasii liidataa kursiga ku habsato.

 Can't believe I missed this.

The Vice Pres is silent but deadly, As just an example, I was speaking to a family friend who is a close relative of his the other day he told me that when the former Somali foreign minister Mr Beyle was working for the African Development Bank he awarded Awdal $750,000 in agriculture development which he wanted to direct through the vice president, Saylici would not allow for the project to proceed until he was guaranteed a % of the fund.

Saylici doesn't joke, he's on shaking Niggas down in broad day light

Hadi aad dooratiid iyo hadi aad dooran waydiid waa mid ku taal. I'm just rectifying a wrong information which people used to repeat without even thinking.

Sawirkaan waxa laa qaaday 1957 hadi oo dhashay 1936 misa ka hore wuxu noqon laha ugu yaraan 21 jiir markii sawirkaan laa qadaay. Illahay baan kugu dharshay ma 21 ++ jir ayu oo egyahay?!! Most of people height if not all stop growing when the reach 21. Look at the picture again. He wasn't even as tall as he is now forget about being as tall as he used to be in his 20's or 30's. Usually tall guys are asked to sit while the shorter ones stand up. Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Mahmoud and the guy in his left were around 15 years old when the photo was taken unlike others who were older than him.

Image

I'm sure you hold no grudge against Mr. Ahmed and that you support him but your biggest fear is Mr. Abdulrahman Abdullah Ismail succeeding him. "Masiibada indhaha buurbuurani inu dhaxlo ayaad baqaysa sidu Dahir Riyaale Kahin oo dhaxlay Mohamed Haji Ibrahim Egal". To avoid such dilemma you guys need to adopt Djibouti system. Afars requested Mr. President Ismail Omar Guelleh to change the political structure so they can have Vice President instead of Prime Minister but he refused as Mr. Hasan Gulaid Aptidoon refused. Bari Hadu Mr. Ismaciil Cumar Gelle dhinto ninka Gudomiyaha barlamaanka oo ah nin Ciise ay xilka sii hayaaya intay doorashoo dhacayso. In Asia and Africa who rules the country before the election will most likely win. Hadaba xalka halkaso ku jira. Cid alla leh Vice President leh oo Somaliland ahayn in Horn of Africa, name it Kenya, Ethiopia, Djiboutia and Somalia, ma jiirto. Everyone except Somaliland adopt Prime Minister system to preserve the majority rule, why not you?

This was what I was trying to tell you earlier. Mr. Abdulrahman Abdullah Ismail is more powerful than your king " Mr. Hersi Ali Haji Hasan". Mr. Abdulrahman business partner is Mr. Ali Hamud Jibril, Minister of Relations Councils, Research and Technology, and his family. Cali Xamud Jibril aya ka maasul ah xiirka golayaasha and I believe you guys know how important his post is.

P.S. Advice to you Somalilanders Keep remembering this name " Ali Hamud Jibril " and don't surprise if he gets appointed as the Minister of Finance. Mr. Abdulaziz Samaale did fatal mistake when he refused the new post. Hadi Mudane Abdulasis xilka Wiisarada Taclinta laa wareeg laha way adkan laheyd in isku shandhaaynta soo socoota after July 2015 lagu samiiyo Marwo Zamzam iyo Mudane Cali Xamud sido xilka Wisaarada Maliyada ula wareego Cali Xamud as the biggest opposition was going to come from Mr. Abdulaziz Samaale if that happened but with him resigning expect to see a guy from Borama to be Minister of Finance anytime soon.
