I would take you to Addis so that you can see the horror I've seen with your own eyes.

And it's true, back home you'll hear every once in a while about an innocent Faarax who married a "religious" woman only to contract HIV or AIDS, not knowing that naagta used to have boyfriends in Ethiopia.

You also have the story about the Khat smuggling Faarax whose wife or wives contracted HIV, after the husband was chewing and sleeping with those vile people in Ethiopia.

It's disgusting and you're right about how they spread it on purpose but it's an African phenomenon. I've heard it's the same in Uganda and other places.

SubxanAllah! I feel very sorry for those husbands and wives and future victims. We should start testing for AIDS, none of these NGO's have done it. If we can provide that for free and urge couples who are about to get married to get tested, these promiscuous people would think twice about their actions.

In the rest of Africa it's either because men have sex with gay prostitutes (very common among the Swahili), or because of the 'boyfriend and girlfriend'/side piece chain of infection. They did a study in Kenya and discovered that the majority of AIDS cases were spread through a network of infidelities. Each cheater had a side piece who had a side piece etc. I'm grateful for Islam every day because this is what Allah swt wants to prevent.

I will never visit Addis, I can't think of a worse place to spend my summer holidays. I would like to visit Lalibela though.

It is not true that addis is Dirty!
Addis is beautifull and clean lately, much more better than my city Djibouti and way better than somali shithole.
Come back to us and tell us how you find it!

There is no night life is boyle mikael = reason normal ethiopian have the tendencies to go all indoor after dark!
Only somalis and dogs will loiter around.
For that reason after dark you will probably be in your hotel room trying to watch no existant TV channels.

Night life happen in down town and only the well off ethiopians and foreigners are in those bar.
So if your in Addis and your own then you have no choice but to stay indoor!

Addis will be a better vacation if you had a friend (better a male friend) to be with you and take adventure road
I don't know how you can get a normal male friend unless he lost is mojo.

Boyle mikael is where all the somali broken dream have been shattered. so you will meet very poor somalis and begging is widespread.
Don't take the private taxi (unless you have to, nigth, emergencies etc..) and the maximum fare is 120 bir
from the airport to the hotel it is 120 to 130 birr.
there is cash machine everywhere !

Take the bus to everywhere it is fun and cheap (maximum fare 5 birr)

Ethiopian in general are better cultivated and cooler than any somalis you have meet!
The girls are much prettier than somalis

Miskiin ....even without adequate sewage you'll not find a single place in Somalia which smells. We are a nation obsessed with nadaafad and we recycle everything so we never have rubbish piling up. People are also proud of where they're from and they clean the streets without being asked to do so, some are paid by local businesses.

Go to Naati hotel in bole rwanda, good quality somali hotel.

I agree @ Gedo. We don't have running water or sewage systems, but I've never in my life smelt bodily fluids here, alhamdulillah.
