Depends on how your bride is, if she's not materialist then obviously it will not cost you much. But if she likes flashing things, and showing off then you're in trouble.. Good luck..
My cousin recently paid £2000 for mehr in London. It depends really. Most can't afford more than $1000 for the Mehr.GeoSeven wrote:Most folks I've asked paid an average of 7-10k for the meher, I assumed that was an average.

BV, imagine someone googling Somali girls and mehr, the results would prolly disproportionately feature dangirl and her infamous tuufax/apple.

Based, I like you, but your marxist views are below a man of your caliber. Let ur xiniinyo hang bro. Equality is a myth, and chasing it is a pipedream. Hierarchy and patriarchy have been vindicated by history and science. Just look around you and witness the cultural and moral wasteland that is the West, thanks to the bankrupt ideas of the left.Based wrote:

I don't subscribe to the notion of the groom spending an obscene amount of money on what should be a simple ceremony joining two people in matrimony.
This ostentatious spending that basically amounts to a bride price is obviously a patriarchal relic where women are practically considered a commodity.
Ideally, a society that has moved beyond simplistic gender norms no longer expects broke ass faraxs to spend their entire life savings on a marriage that is highly likely to fail.
The fools who have encouraged the bourgeois affectations of their soon to be ex-wives deserve nothing but scorn and ridicule.

That seems quite extreme tbhSkippa wrote:Meher: 7,000 – 10,000
Aroos and other Maalayacnis: 15,000 -20,000
If you’re leasing a condo: 1,500 – 2,000 (+1,500 -2,000 deposit) = 3,000 to 4,000 to start
Furnishing:
Bedroom set + mattress: 3,000 – 3,500
Living Room: 4,000 to 5,000
Electronics : 3,000 to 4,000
Kitchen: 1,000 – 1,500
Vacation Package: 2,000 to 6,000
Miscellania: 2,000
Total: A whole lot of money i.e. the cost to be a boss
Good point. Thanks for your input.BlackVelvet wrote:DanGirl seriously give it a rest
InaS it can cost a few thousands or tens of thousands. It comes down to your budget, better think of how much you've got and how far it can stretch instead of the other way around. The worst thing in my opinion is starting off your new life with debt hanging over you
But to answer your question I don't expect to contribute towards the house or furnishings. Would contribute towards the wedding and would spend 2 - 4 month's salary depending on how big

No woman should marry a man who is run by his sister. That marriage will definitely not last long!Aishah wrote:Bv she refuse to pay for anything and reject what we buy her we brought a 50 inch TV she wants a 60 inch I told her to go whistle for it, we brought a fridge its the wrong colour and brand..
