I have lived next to camps and trust me, no one was starving. Yes, they might not live luxuriously like Ugaaso or those who have family abroad, but by no means are they starving or without money totally. Dadka weey shaqaystan, for the the love of god, I tried to find a maid and was unsuccessful. I was new to the country and having difficulties with the house chores and cleaning the clothes. Laakin maxaa ka rabtaa, by the end, I was cooking with dhuxuul, going to the suuq, cleaning the clothes, the house...walle naagnimaday was boundless for a diaspora. ;)

But there is another side to mogadishu and I'm glad she is showing it. Ilahaay haa no daayo!!

You know what my uncle told me on my first week in
Mogadishu, "Adeer, not a single soul goes to bed hungry in this city, look around you".

What makes it propaganda, have you been to Mogadishu?

I remember during the drought a few years ago everywhere was reporting that those who made it to Mogadishu didn't go hungry. The locals shared their food even if it meant they didn't eat 3 full meals a day themselves

True

If you put yourself out there you will be criticised so go for it I'm not standing in your way but you will have to face that person's fans. Part and parcel of the fan/anti-fan dynamic. Enjoy the ride

Aniga waxa aan kuugu heysto waxa waaye that you call something propaganda when you are not there to see for yourself whether there is truth to it or not

Huff post is imbued and infested with Liberals who have no scope of what a person of faith is. They are all living in this atheistic la la land.

I am sure there are poor people but if you are saying people go without food then that's quite the claim for someone who isn't in the city
