Kismayo has slightly larger population than Jamame.
Much more than Afmadow and other places in lower Jubba. Its not that populated. But them two cities have the largest in the gobol. Both cities have similar populations give or take as Gaalkacyo and Bosaso.
Somali cities are not that populated.

That report is absolute nonsense.
I had a preview of the report before it was released. It is 100% the same as one version of a UNFPA report from 2014 that was rejected by the Puntland government and so it was never officially released. There was another version before that that was rejected by the SL government because they felt their numbers were inaccurate. The current version was accepted by Somaliland.
I doubt he actually went through Somaliland to get the number as no one there would agree to be in a census of Somalia. His 3.5mil figure adds up, but the gobols are way off. Awdal's rural and nomadic pop is extremely exaggerated, while Waqooyi Galbeed's urban pop is much lower than what it actually is. Hargeisa + Berbera + Gabiley = 800k?

You obviously don't know much about Koonfur. Comparing Jamame and Kismayo

Somaliland accepted the numbers but they were promised that it would be divided as Somalia and Somaliland, not broken down by the pre-civil war provinces. Somaliland will now oppose the report on these grounds.

I'm going by UN numbers

Although Kismayo was lik 80% urban 20 rural. And jamame was like 30% urban and 70% rural.

A message from my my illegitimate son Abdijohn
Aid hunting season has come early for the shameless, corrupt and incompetent UN and the backward Africans. Am I supposed to believe a Somali who wants to make his clan landheere and an organization that sells food aid in black markets? The Somalia population, including Somaliland is 5-8 million. I've been to two provinces and their population is overstated by more than 50%.

I thought Abdijohnson died? I convinced myself that he took the Shahada right before he chocked to death on his chicken wing and made dua for him just in case he died a Muslim but I guess the devil is still among us.

This estimate was going to be passed off as the most accurate population estimate in Somalia since the last census. It would be used to divide resources and, in the future, power/political positions.

Just my grandfather's descendants are almost 500 people of whom mostly I don't know them. Have they counted all those I know? No.

Listen...we can't just reject everything out of hand if it isn't written by a cousin.
This is an estimate based on the last census taken in the 1980s.
We must have a starting point.....and the last census is the logical starting point.

Did anybody bother to read the methodology? The report was produced by "international partners" and only issued by the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation. The published statement on the report was written by Philippe Lazzarini, the United Nations Resident Coordinator for Somalia.
http://www.duhur.com/the-federal-republ ... ince-1975/
The estimate is in support of the Somali Compact
http://www.pbsbdialogue.org/The%20Somali%20Compact.pdf and the Stability Fund
http://www.stabilityfund.so/, which has already had some significant successes:
http://stabilityfund.blogspot.com/, and was soliciting applications for projects in the Juba Valley earlier this year. According to a headline on the Snet Front Page the EU just added 6 million Euros to the fund.
I have my doubts that anybody is going to get to reject the report in any practical sense.
