Puntland is the much stronger of the two. They have more resources, more weapons, and man power. Obviously Galmudug has spritted fighters but they would be foolish to engage Puntland which has been in existence for 17 years.

Galmudug should resolve it's internal problems, establish Hobyo port, reconcile local clans, establish economic lifeline for the state, recruit more militia and have them go under the FG troops for better pay and equipment and make sure the state is able to withstand any aggressive posture from neighboring regions BEFORE they can begin to talk tough with Puntland
