What 90s kid didn't like Sailor moon (if not secretly), along with Pokemon, Digimon and Escaflowne (although it was weird). Looking back I find magical girl animes sufferable- all are about the power of friendship and love conquers all ad nauseum (Cardcaptors Sakura, Magical Knight Ray Earth, Wedding Peach aka a Sailor Moon reject). And the otome/ reverse harem even worse (Fushigi Yushi and Amnesia). I mean several men vying for the attention of an regular girl with a bland personality doesn't seem remotely realistic even in fiction (unless its twilight). Then I watched Inyuasha, Bleach, Cowboy Bebob and Full Metal Alchemist. I took an extended break from watching anything for years, until crunchroll (last year). So I binge watched a rebooted JoJo's Bizzare Adventures. And I do like Monster. I don't consider it like a horror movie although it reminds me of the film Omen (2006) except with better character and plot development.
Been on it since day 1 lmao, I'm just happy the anime adapted the manga well.
