Stop comparing Hargeisa which has over a million people living there to dusty tuulos with 200,000 people tops. Obviously, the logistics of providing water to Hargeisa is much trickier than that of bosaso.

What's with all the concern about Hargeisa's water supply.

There is a huge aquifer in central Oodweyne that can supply Hargeisa for the next 1000 years. Only problem is that you need to pipe that over 100 miles to reach the city.

Hargeisa was founded in a bad place.

There is plenty of water under Hargeisa too, I lived there. We used to part the sand and water gushed forth. The problem is not luck water underground, but pipes. The EU funded program which is underway right now should solve that

How hard is to dig a deep water well ? Not hard. Almost every mid-size somali town has one, forget about the bigger towns. Seems like SL is way behind of other somali regions. Very sad.

Hargeisa is not comparable to Bosasso town. Hargeisa is 6 times bigger then bosaso

Next time you google something, read it first. The report on bosaso says water shortage was due to the arrest of the workers, it was a couple days event. There was no water problem, just the company not coming to work for a few days.

you keep repeating this as if it makes the problem of hargeisa go away, or normal.

Bosaso will still manage its water even if it had 2 millions citizens, because the huge amount of water underneath the city, and also we're not busy chewing khat and talking about qabyalad, we're organised and we have educated citizens.
