I believed it had to do with robbing a hospital or something for a particular kind of drug they could then sell on the streets. Don't have specifics on the names of the individuals, but just remember it was a big deal a few years ago. As for how one walked free, Ahmed Hussen was apparently able to pull some strings and wrote some letters to certain people to get him acquitted. He could have easily done the same for the other guy, but he refused to help at all. I remember thinking to myself just how messed up and hopeless our situation is if someone this educated can still be end up being a die-hard tribalist.

I've never heard this story in my life. If you're gonna come up with an accusation against him, then at least bring forth evidence and tell us the full story. Fear Allah with what you type, as He will hold you accountable for slandering someone else without cause. Ahmed Hussen has only been a lawyer for 3 years, and most of the time he deals with matters relating to immigration law and family law. He's only dealt with criminal law in the past year or so, so your accusation against him holds no water. It's clear you're only against this person for ulterior reasons....hence why you only have 5 posts on this forum, and all 5 of your posts are dedicated to defaming Mr Hussen.

You should be ashamed of yourself. My own mother and my Reer Upti are huge supporters of Ahmed Hussen....despite the fact that they're Hawiye and aren't from the same tribe as him.

It's very hard to be objective when some random guy on the internet is criticizing a man who is often praised by your community and is your own kin. Now unless you're going to make up some conspiracy theory of I = kimjongillest = AbdiJohnson, then you clearly have three different people here challenging him on his tribalism. It's one thing when we say it, but AbdiJohnson is from the same sub sub clan as him and he will even admit the truth that Mr Hussen is a clear tribalist. Oh, and just because some Hawiye support this guy is not indicative of anything. And you're talking about Hawiye that are married to MJs. That should speak for itself. There's a reason why such marriages are shunned actively by both groups nowadays and people who still go through with it are disowned by both their families.

Thank you for the kind words, my friend. But I certainly don't have what it takes to be a successful politician i.e lacking a conscience and well defined values. I also am not a natural leader and don't believe I should be held responsible for so many countless citizens. I prefer what I'm doing right now, namely political commentary.

Are you going to come to me with actual evidence, or are you going to provide hearsay? I'm speaking as someone who personally knows Ahmed Hussen, I'm speaking as someone who's confronted and challenged him on numerous occasions. Unlike other Somali leaders, Ahmed gives himself access to the Somali community. Ahmed sits down with and addresses the concerns of the people of the community, in coffee-shop style meetings and community get-togethers.

Large numbers of Somalis (sometimes even hundreds of them) sit down with Ahmed Hussen and fire away questions at him, in meetings that sometimes last for hours. You can't tell me that these accusations are even remotely true. Ahmed Hussen is aware of the fact that he has people who dislike him, and he accesses himself to the community for that reason alone, to address their concerns and complaints. Are you going to use Abdi Johnson as a source, a well-known internet troll who is known for repeating hearsay and rumors? Abdi Johnson isn't even from Toronto, and he's been living in Alberta for a while now.

P.S. Ahmed Hussen has a strong dislike for Abdullahi Yusuf as well as many of the other Somali leaders, regardless of qabiil. Maybe you should actually ask him what he thinks, instead of repeating hearsay and rumors. Again, I ask you to fear Allah before you slander this man further
