Ahem...if you allow me to share my opinion as a political analyst I think kismayo needs a grassroots reconciliation

90 percent of the problem has to do with external factors and contradicting loyalties; other somali regions and countries r integral part of it we dont need to mention them

from 91 to 2005, mogadishu was a disputed city....ports were closed..then they started holding local conferences in order to have one banadir admin even theoretically because practically it was controlled by the warlords so how can an elected mayor operate in there?

The result of these efforts were the establishment of two councils-should be one not two-each one carrying the same name(golaha deegaanka banaadir-

One was linked to the jowhar-based TFG and other was supported by HG and murursade...col omar hashi who was hailing from hawadle has played big role in bringing them together, and thus they appointed him as afhayeenka labada golo ee banadir (the first recognition of the other)

Finally, they succeeded in forming one golaha deegaanka...this was the first power-sharing, the first time an abgaal mayor of mogadishu (abgaal leadership)was accepted by all of them...with three deputies from murursade, HG and banadiri....hawadle was given the secretary general post....to this day, the banadir admin is based on that formula introduced by the ex golaha deegaaanka

There have been official mayors and the city was still divided until the islamic courts arrival but it was big step bc the abgaals used to deney and HG rights in banadir and HG was...

My point is MX and OG need to accept eachother without the involvement of other regions and the first step should be solving the leadership issue, OG should accept kismayo autonomy for MX and MX should accept ogaden JL leadership..end of story!.

They aren't in denial at all. They only call for unity when their clan will benefit from it. Hawiye are calling for unity cause they wanna control the whole country from Xamar
