Somali Government official Says Chrismas is Not banned.

The head of Banadir Regional admin which overseas the affairs of the largest coastal City in Somalia Mogadishu Said that He was not informed about the Ban of the Chrismas Celebrations in Mogadishu issued by the religious affairs Ministry.

Yusuf Hussein Jimcale,a Moderate Politician, dismissed the ban and said somalia tolerates its christian Minorities to practice their faith as them deem fit.
He also raised concerns about the security issue for these celebrations claiming that security forces will be on alert on possible alshabab intimidations.

This denial comes after there has been an outcry by the order of the religious ministry from top human rights organizations,Media and other heavywight figures which might prompt the governor to issue such statement.
somali christains comprise less 2% of the population with no contact with outside world, their only church, the evengalical church in Mogadishu has been ruined during the conflict and there are no steps to reinnovate as Mogadishu the somali Capital is experiencing a Construction Boom fuelled by The relative peace in the City ,the Diaspora Returnees who are investing in the City.
On the other hand, the banadir administration In Mogadishu announced that in 2016,The city will elect its first Mayor based on One man /woman one vote system.this is a postive step in a country experiencing a relative Peac
