Sahal is a serious analyst on Somalia Affairs, enjoy his post and he is spot on most of the stuff, I no longer send cargo via the Dubai corridor any more, the UAE is a big enemy to Somalia, that car bombing outside Turkish embassy were 2 of their staff died during the investigation it went back to UAE, the Turks were carrying out the investigation many ministers were implicated but the case was dropped to protect the integrity of the Somalia government, this very well known, its also why Turks are building a Military base, they are keen to build SNA so they no longer have to deal with all these external factors, straight after they showed commitment, the UAE comes out and say they will pay the SNA salaries.
Waan arkey gaadiidka dhismaha iyo engineero turkish ah oo me soo dhoobay xatuntii hire we parliamentkii dawladii kacanka.. midka hada waa meel kale oo wax kale ahaan jirtey....xataa jawaari baa turkeyga tagay oo casuumaad ka helay baarlamaankooda oo yiri keenay dhisayaan sidaanoo kale. Naqqshad cajiib ah bay soo saareen iyo kuraasta xalqo xalqada ah sida UN ka...waxaa joojiyay this khaain mahad cawad oo imaraafka siiyay.. laakiin imaaraadka xagee ka keeni khubarada dhismaha ama shirkado amni dartiis? Once they said the will build villa somalia and it took years....after huge presssure of tuuksi they gave the contract to local unnukaa leh guys who stole the money....have you seem the "New decor" iyo calanka dhulka la dhigay kkkk the designer was a girl from garguurtes jufo who lives in America so she was "coppying the white house" kkkk

Anyways xaalkii baarlamaanka fasaad buu ku danbeeyay

Somalia’s Auditor General accuses Turkish firms of evading financial accountability

Hiiraan Online
Wednesday, December 30, 2015

Mr. Nur Farah, Somalia's Auditor General
MOGADISHU (HOL) – Somalia’s auditor general accused two Turkish firms running Mogadishu’s airport and seaport’s operations of resisting financial accountability, preventing his office from executing an audit into the country’s 2015 revenue.

Somalia has awarded millions of dollars contracts to the two Turkish firms last year to upgrade and run the Mogadishu seaport and airport’s operations.
Speaking at the parliament’s headquarters on Tuesday, Nur Farah accused the two companies Favori and Albeyrak of resisting an audit and accountability attempt by his office in a bid to ‘obscure’ the ‘actual’ proceeds from the airport and the seaport, the largest revenue source for the Somali government for the past two months.
“There’s no way we can close the annual fiscal book as long as these foreign firms that took over the airport and seaport’s operations are evading the accountability.” Mr. Farah told Somali legislators.
He however urged Somalia’s leaders to step into the matter before January next year, a month the government would have to submit its annual 2016 budget.
No comment could be reached from the two firms on the allegations.
Albayrak, the Turkish firm which runs Mogadishu seaport’s operation has transferred a one month revenue of $1.582, 000 million dollars to Somalia’s central bank in November last year, a significant revenue from the port which rarely reported ‘smaller’ returns before the foreign firm took over its operations.
Somalia’s government largely relies on foreign aid and donors’ funding to rebuild state institutions in the horn of Africa nation which is recovering from decades of war since the ouster of Islamist insurgents from the capital and surrounding regions in 2011
It is been more than a year since the donors asked Mogdishu government to amend, renegotiate or scrap the contracts which were rewarded to foreigners specially those over management of public funds. Despite the experts', who were from WB, IMF and ADB, recommendations nothing has been done.

Turkish are really good people. They had no other option. If there was stability in Mogdishu everything was going to be sold to foreigners long ago.
