any dhulo or warsan (harti darod) and any gadabursi or issa (dir) from outside SL can be a citizen of SL if they want just like a non SL citizen who is isaaq can get citizenship - for example an issa from djibouti like president iog or a dhulo from kenya like foreign minister amina mohamed can both be SL citizens if they choose

ethnic Somalis who's sub clan and sub sub clan is native in former British somaliland protectorate aka modern somaliland republic are the only Somalis eligible for SL citizenship...other Somalis are neither able nor welcomed to even try to try naturalization

That's hypocritical.

That would mean that Somaliland is a clan state, which the government repeatedly denounces it saying that SL are united through nationalism not clanism.

It should be named DirWarDhul-land.

Somalis are not monolithic and clan is but one of many factors for such distinctions. Its the same for pure arabs across the gcc arab countries

as a state you cant grant rights to isaaq whilst denying the same rights to others..if isaaq that dont reside in british somaliland borders can obtain citizenship so should harti/ciise/gadabursi that reside outside the borders..

Read before you comment. All isaaq, gadabuursi,dhulbahante, warsangeli and Some Ciise are De facto Somali landers. No matter where they are living.

The Kenyan foreign minister Is automatically Somalilander simply because she is dhulbahante and her ancestors all hail from Somaliland before 1960.

Are you british? Were you the one who colonized Somalia and made this "border"? Did you guys fight for independence?

No matter how much your people liked being colonized by them (and even want as far to be on their side during the Dervish), it is time to face reality: The British man is gone now. Somalia is no longer colonized, and thus what he did is no longer relevant. The international community have made it clear that Somalia will not get divided any further.
Continue isolating yourself from Somalia,and being bitter. It clearly must suck to be ignored by the very same man you guys are clearly worshipping.

We fought the longest colonial war in Africa, and we fought for Somalias independence and freedom.. What makes you think we will give up on this country? Soomali baan nahay

Somaliland borders were inherited from the british on June 26,1960 and yes our forefather fought for that independence unlike somalia who inherited it's borders from italian UN trusteeship July 1st, 1960 because of our support.thank somaliland for the peace you have no al shabaab blowing you up today.
