Dogs are allowed for hunting, watch-keeping, etc., just not as fun pets to play with, due to them making us ritually unclean.

I love dogs. They are smart, alert creatures who are loyal. I have had 4 as pets over my lifetime. My favorite one was called Simba and he was a loyal pet who kept guard at night. I trusted my Doberman more than Juma my guard. SImba never slept unlike Juma. He also was very useful in limiting the number of unannounced guests.

They need animal shelter or something similar. This seems way too drastic

Could have sold them to Western countries. They're the best caretaker when it comes to animal rights.

Or move them to other cities of Somalia and use them as security jobs and house/animal centre care etc..

I can't comprehend the way Somalis think and why they do the things that they do. This makes me very sad Wallahi.
