Most young people are resilient and they should be left alone to make their own choices and along the way, make their own mistakes (not major ones) and learn from it. All these mistakes could be rectified if they are equipped with a positive attitude and good social skills. When I was a teenager, my biggest mistake and many of my Somali peers was not taking advantage of the educational and training opportunities we had or, what we could actually learn. Instead, we focused on a big lie and became obsessed graduating in areas we had no educational basic strength at all like engineering and medicine to please our parents and be praised by the community. We lied of our high school grades and in University, we told every Somali that we were studying these subjects. A depressing big lie. It's still happening and that's the biggest mistake of our youth.

That's what I always say. I did some dumb shit when I was younger and i'm kinda glad I did because I learned something from each mistake I made. We have to remember young people, up to around 21- are not proper adults yet. They don't have the life experience that older people do; older people who also made the same mistakes as them.

So iska daaya dhalinyarta...let them do their thing. Nothing big though e.g. don't let them get addicted to Class A.

Sxb this dhalinyaro are not like us. We made small mistakes like running away from School or dhoocil naaska laqabto ama darbi lugu biisho but they are doing guns, drugs, alcohol . They are destroyed for life. Dib uma soo noqonayaan. By the time they are old, their credits and mental stability are ruined for life. One day, sheikh Dabcasar video typed another 40 year old Mareexaan guy called Ina Falax Falax. He was out of jail for breaking into a business and he was saying he even urinate on himself. I don't know if I can find that video. So its not about the age.

sumu, everything walaka so noqon kara. one need a will power. mistake do not divine them. other people, drink, do drugs, sleep around and when they grow up they just become soccer mom or career dad. youth ka niyada ha ka jibin. inshallah they will be better than older people.
