Rule number 1, never show your wife you can cook.
My wife got bored of me making Tuna sandwiches, she don't even ask for anything no more.

Because you can't tell her you'd rather she cooked?
I'm with BV on this, why the need for deceit? When you feel like cooking... Cook. If not, a simple... "qurux adigu wax inoogu tur, not particularly feeling like cooking today" will suffice.

Meelaha qaarkood lama galo.
Maybe that is why you are bullied by your wife!!! You went to her Harem. Do not go to the kitchen unless you are invited; if she asks you to taste the food tell her that is good even though it might be otherwise
Do not go to her drawers and her purse.
If she puts on a makeup- dress and asks you about your opinion, the keyword is not to say GOOD or BAD. Be neutral and tell her choice is good.

LOL. The kitchen is the place I spend most of my time. I am as modern as any Somali. But Lo'doon is being bullied and I am just giving him some geeljire advice to mitigate his suffering

Just cuz you made something doesn't mean it's edible.
