Are somalis on average the most practising muslim ethnicity in the world ?

^^this is what we talking about. my eedos or gradmothers my dad's side never wore 3abayat in Somalia, neither they knew it. requirements not diura'a and garbasaar, neither 3abayat or jilbaab. it's what covers you of your choice. each culture do according to their culture and make it according the requirements. pants can be made it loose and with long shirt.

neither I am into business pointing finger and what my sisters wear. they got same education I got and raised the same values. they are capable to practice islam their own.

I always been same. people think I am "too open minded" I disagree!! I am just consistence and understand both sides well , so I made my own.

I am conservative as it comes but trying to apply on me first, didn't master it yet by my actions, just in my head sounds perfect.

4real Somalis in qurbo are way better than those back home. While all Muslim born ethnicities lose some of their faith or complitely all of it for what I have seen Somalis become even better up there ..

We don't know the inner thoughts and intentions of mankind to judge as "the most practicing Muslims", that role is reserved for Allah SWT to judge. Having said that, yes, we collectively and unapologetically conduct all of our Islamic rituals openly without fear, but the most practicing Muslim will always fall short if how we conduct ourselves towards one another, others, authority and raise our children is below the bar. There are higher numbers of Somali juveniles than any other Muslim ethnicities languishing in prisons, how could that happen to a community who is the "most practicing ethnicity in the world"? You figure it out.

Ina Adeer, I understand your point, though these two groups are the most visible in our community, but things are starting to change and a growing number occupy in the Middle. They are the silent majority who conduct their affairs discreetly. Some of them are here on this board and their messages are measured, respectively and conduct themselves positively. They don't transgress onothers, nor get angry when alternative opinions are expressed and issue. The majority of this group are well educated, measured, intentioned and enlightened sisters and may Allah SWT ha inoo badiyo. The future is bright with these mothers of the future.

Somalis are not flawless but we do have a huge religious community compared to other Muslim groups. Even non religious Somalis would shy away from owning a liquor store, when so many are Arab "Muslims" deep in this business. I always see taxi drivers pulling over for Salaat, and Somalis uniting at the work place to ask for a prayer room.

There seems be a culture of self-deprecation on somnet. These people are super negative and have no sense of dignity. They worship other communities and despise their own.

We have our flaws like every other community but if you were to believe these people, you'd think that Somalis are the lowest people on earth. Pathetic.

They just prove how miserable,depressing and sad their lives are and how they are projecting their own misery unto us to compensate for that .
As if whats true for them is automatically true for us.

Like @Muxamed1197 said on the other thread. I only hear this whole failure narrative pushed on the internet , this doesnt come with statistics or an actual argument but rather based of anecdotal isolated examples or personal experience.

Every community has its Pros(good) and Cons(bad). But how do you justify defining our comunnity by the worst amongst us and defining other communities( in this case Asians )by the best amongst them?

Also what is the point of spewing this kind of denigrating rhetoric towards your own?. It is so poisonous just reading that vitriol spewed online will have a negative adverse effect on the psyche of even the most accomplished upstanding Somali.

Negatively stereotyping people ,(regardless if its based on falsity or truths) is just a recipe for a Self fulfulling prophecy. Its better these Somalinet users try to channel the misery or frustrations they have built inside towards something good, constructive, uplifting and inspiring.

Say what u want about our bad apples, but Somalis are the least likely out of the others to bend over for gaalo, nor do they make something haram halal like other communities. If u guys think Somalis are fake you should see other communities.
