you must be crazy or you are joking.

Do really really think isaaq and MAJEERTEEN will get along?

Even if they agree on power sharing, do you think it will work?

Don't let your imagination take you too far.

What we really need to talk about is how we can settle the border dispute we have in SSC and how we can get to the FINAL SOLUTION on this problem.

even a mj telling you it is not possible.

To tell you the truth once puntland stop claiming sool and sanaag the better for them i dont think no can share a nation with mj they are too power hungry and too tribalist they should stick to ruling whats left of zoomalia.

We can't Rule Somalia without Sool and Sanaag yuu Cayn.

Maybe you who needs to stop claiming my Lands.

Adal is a nice name tbh, I mean who cares if you steal it from the Afar because we now have Macedonia being used by Slavic people from Yugoslavia and the Greeks are pissed but they can't do shit

theyuusuf143 wrote:There is no need to change,

1. the name points that Ethnic Somalis own the this land
2. it is one decade older than the name "Somali-A" our southern brothers rival nation so we are not coping others.
3. 70 +25 years of our history is recorded under this name, for example the daraawiish struggle and the post Kacaan history from 1991 up to now.
4. We only lived under the Somalia banner from 1969 to 1991. That's just 30 years compare to the 100 years we have been using the Name Somaliland. So I disagree those who are suggesting the Korean style North Somalia vs South Somalia.
5. Adal empire only existed small parts of our land , the name is not suitable to represent our current nation.

In my opinion Republic of Horn Africa (Jamhuuriyada geeska Africa) is the best alternative name in case we have to change our current name. Especially if puntland and Somaliland join together in the future, a political ideology I support wholeheartedly.

Big problem there bruh

And according to whom's book is that fellow an Mj..
And if you are wondering yes I fully agree with yusuf143

Puntland should declare independence from tht quagmire in the south and propose a merger with isaaqland based on xeer and an unique system to uphold political stability and a viable economic strategy that promotes the well being of that nations next generation..

Such union would first of all erase all future skirmishes between two pocket mini states and take their focus away from the current silly flipflopping and also eliminate all current weaknesses of both states that others take advantage of.

Bulk up population which translates to a bigger spending power and better border focus

A stronger currency

Far and beyond better foreign relations

Better market competition

And overall stronger 1 nation rather than 2 limbo states with holes everywhere

Adal republic or 'the horn of africa' and in somali 'geeska afrika'

I do like "The horn of Africa" it carries weight and demands respect..

The name must be changed after recognition. That is a must. We cannot have an anglicised name for a country.

I propose the name:

'Jamhuuriyada Soomaaliyeed ee Cadal'

WhiteHeartLane,

If PL joins us in the future it must be on our terms. I'm sorry but you guys are too politically savvy compared to our timid politicians who have an aversion to even the smallest of risks

Why not? Urdu and Hindi are basically dialects of the same language and yet the official language of Pakistan is Urdu and that of India is Hindi. Same with Portuguese, Castilian and Catalan. The problem with Somalis is that they are unable to think outside the box. An independent Somaliland would benefit other Somalis. But you have cavemen tribalistic who can't think beyond 2 seconds ruling the country.

You are not right it is embarrassing to have the Germanic suffix -land at the end of the name. We are not Germanic but Kuwaiti. It makes the country sound like a theme-park. I propose either Adal Republic, Berbera (land of Berbers), or Pwenet (if Eritrea and Ethiopia are allowed to have historically inaccurate names why can't we?).

Well in English it'd be called the Republic Of Adal. Pwenet sounds too much like a certain famous Jamaican expletive. No way we're gonna call Sland Pwenet, Somalis can't even pronounce Pwenet, they'll end up saying Buwaanadh. LOL.

And Ethiopians pronounce it as itoopia. But Adal so far is the best name.

PS. f-king autocorrect change Kushitic to Kuwaiti :mindblown:
