Please look the the fock up above and observe the grander picture, nobody here gives a damn about your local view who and whos goats should control dire dawe, if you are that shaky, thenlet the oromos have it I say, for you are not worthy.Jabuutawi wrote:Only naïve Somalis believe Oromos will treat others, especially Somalis, as equal citizens in a perceived Oromo nation. Before you all prostrate to an Oromo waq, do read some historical facts about their land grabbing and expansionism in the Horn.
Oromos expansion to these lands they claim as theirs began only 500 years ago during Adal Empire and Semitic Abyssinia exhausted their resources on each other. They (Oromos) grabbed the opportunity to push northward and eastward from their original inhabitation in Lake Abaya, or Abaya Hayk in Amharic, when death and destruction befell others. And before that period they moved north from Lake Turkana and beyond. How on earth then can they claim Dira Dhabe when they are relatively newcomers to the region?
There is no written record of Oromos in Bale, Dira Dhabe, Addis Ababa, Harar and many other places until about 500 years ago. By the same token, Dira Dhabe was a thriving village inhabited by Dir clan of the Somali ethnic group for centuries before the wars.
I do not mind, in fact care one way or another, if they had their own sovereign nation so long as they cease to claim other peoples lands.
Do read history of the Gallas before some of you do niiko for them.
Somalis are the biggest landgrabbers of the horn relatively speaking and in absolute numbers, we control over 1,1 million square km2 and are still expanding. I do not worry a bit about Oromos, had we had common sense, Somalis and Muslim Oromos would have fuzed together long ago.
