Oromos expansion to these lands they claim as theirs began only 500 years ago during Adal Empire and Semitic Abyssinia exhausted their resources on each other. They (Oromos) grabbed the opportunity to push northward and eastward from their original inhabitation in Lake Abaya, or Abaya Hayk in Amharic, when death and destruction befell others. And before that period they moved north from Lake Turkana and beyond. How on earth then can they claim Dira Dhabe when they are relatively newcomers to the region?

There is no written record of Oromos in Bale, Dira Dhabe, Addis Ababa, Harar and many other places until about 500 years ago. By the same token, Dira Dhabe was a thriving village inhabited by Dir clan of the Somali ethnic group for centuries before the wars.

I do not mind, in fact care one way or another, if they had their own sovereign nation so long as they cease to claim other peoples lands.

Do read history of the Gallas before some of you do niiko for them.
Please look the the fock up above and observe the grander picture, nobody here gives a damn about your local view who and whos goats should control dire dawe, if you are that shaky, thenlet the oromos have it I say, for you are not worthy.

Somalis are the biggest landgrabbers of the horn relatively speaking and in absolute numbers, we control over 1,1 million square km2 and are still expanding. I do not worry a bit about Oromos, had we had common sense, Somalis and Muslim Oromos would have fuzed together long ago.

It's funny how you mention the oromo expansion but forget to mention the Somali expansion was far more violent and extensive, in other words, the Somali conquered more land than anyone else in the horn. You have more land than you even use. You even stick your chest out arrogantly and brag about how you pushed others out of their land, but Allah forbid the same thing happens to you, then you cry and complain.
Double standards and hypocrisy seems to be your modus operandi. I hope the majority of Somali aren't as dumb and narrow minded as you are.
And the oromo were in finfinne before menelik was born. We were there even when sahle selassie, the grandfather od menelik, was ruling Shoa.
The Somali expanded to harar too, you aren't indigenous there, you came as conquerors and as part of the Somali expansion.
But you refuse to mention the whole story, you rather only focus on the oromo. Hypocrite.

As long as Oromo leaders are Muslim, I fully support their rule in Ethiopia.

I know you oromos don't want a independent country so i want to ask you two questions .

1. If you oromos were to become the rulers of Ethiopia after TPLF, would you allow the somali region to secede ?
2. Would you trade the areas of the two sources of Juba and Shabelle rivers for Awdal province in SL (next to Djibouti) ?

The real question is would the politicians of Ogadenia want to reunite with war torn mooriyan infested chithole called Somalia? Let alone become vulnerable and getting threats by the rival clans next door once secede?

:usure:

They should stay with Ethiopia when TPLF is toppled. Somalis in Djibouti + Ethiopia + Somaliland have proven to more likely to live in peace and harmony.

If i recall its a oromo/amhara alliance to bring down the tigre govt. So i guess its a powersharing deal with the amharas possibly ruling again.
Its not the first time. Haile salassie was himself half oromo.
But then again.... the crisis shouldnt concern somalis. Whatever the outcome, the US and others have a very firm grip on ethiopia. Making sure it doesnt collapse. Similar uprising occured in the 90s with mengistu.

Walahi waxa laysku haystaba ina superpower layahay...looool.

Free your land from Bantu and MJ occupation before you carve out lands that do not belong to you. Show up in the north with that idea, see what happens to your scrawny ass.

If anything, Djibouti, Shinile Zone, Awbare District, Awdal and Dira Dhabe will join together and become one mighty Dir country, than your far-fetched idea of giving away lands that you have no business in.

Better suggestion: We want all Dir lands under one for Hobyo medieval port for Oromos to trade with rest of the world.

kkkkkkkkkkk don't get mad at me for having unproductive land sxb. We are seeking for our interests you know. Awdal is basically useless for Mogadishu. I'm pretty sure Villa somalia would swap those two areas for Awdal in a heartbeat. And the irony is, you can't do sh*it about it !

Wouldn't you have to consult your AMISOM masters first, since it's their balls doing the dirty work. Stealing NGO rations, corruption and any kind of criminality is your speciality..

The Somali state of Ethiopia will be able to determine their own fate under an Oromo government. We prefer they stay with us for the mutual benefits that can be derived but we Oromo know how it feels to have unity imposed on us by force of arms. Actually if the Somali state is treated justly, within one federal Ethiopia, they'd benefit a lot more.
