I support Burco getting an airport. I believe it's in the 2017 budget. Burco is the most strategic city in Somaliland. Muuse will get more than 70% of Togdheer voters. Muuse will carry all six JSL regions. This coming election is going to be landslide. Oday Silanyo respects Gaboose and Xasan Ciise and he made sure they failed to form official political party. As long as Wadani (Xamar) and UCID are the official opposition, Kulmiye will be ruling JSL for the foreseeable future.

If you guys are dumb enough to think that our meager resources should be wasted on unnecessary white elephant projects, then you should have your airport. Reer Somaliland caqligooda marmar baad la yaabaysaa, xitaa dantooda ma yaqaanaan iyo wixii priority ay ka dhigan lahaayeen. Airport goorma ayay Burco u baahantahay? Instead I would have asked them to build wells and other water sources to support agriculture. I would have asked them to invest in a tomato processing factory so that farmers do not lose out during excess production in the summer. I would have asked them to build more quality schools putting emphasis on vocational schools. I would have asked them to sponsor the brightest medical graduates from the region go to the best universities in the world for further training. I would have asked them for hospitals.

Burco and other Somali cities should prioritise job creation through export focussed factories. This will generate incomes for people, tax revenues for government and reduce poverty.

The government should spend more on job creationin & frastructure spending. If it then also reforms public services, improves the legal environment and created sensible policies. SL would be transfored within 10 years.
