Sahibzada why Eurogenes K13 and not puntDNAL or Ethiohelix?
Jabuutawi, where does it give you this info about you 1720 ancestor? I have never seen 23andme give this out. It is probably maternal, Somalis seem a lot more diverse on the maternal side than they are on the paternal side.
K13/K15 seems to have the most accurate oracles on Gedmatch. It help you decipher your true ancestry better then 23andme espeicially inter horner ancestry.
When I first got my results I didn't know anything about Genetics or even my JB history. So an extremly cool Somali dude called Awale(who actually has an extremely informative blog btw called anthromadness) ran my results through calculators like the K13,K15,K7 and K36.Apparently I have some distant Oromo ancestor(female) but that blood was extremely diluted after remixing back into the Somali genepool.Probably some Akisho/Jaarso female anyways here are my oracles
K13
Using 4 populations approximation:
1 Ethiopian_Wolayta + Somali + Somali + Somali @ 1.004604
2 Somali + Somali + Somali + Somali @ 1.422973
3 Ethiopian_Oromo + Somali + Somali + Somali @ 1.558832
4 Ethiopian_Oromo + Ethiopian_Wolayta + Somali + Somali @ 2.092100
5 Ethiopian_Wolayta + Ethiopian_Wolayta + Somali + Somali @ 2.324784
6 Ethiopian_Oromo + Ethiopian_Oromo + Somali + Somali @ 2.617676
K15
Using 2 populations approximation:
1 50% Somali +50% Somali @ 1.831702
Using 3 populations approximation:
1 50% Somali +25% Somali +25% Somali @ 1.831702
Using 4 populations approximation:
1 Ethiopian_Wolayta + Somali + Somali + Somali @ 1.099570
2 Ethiopian_Oromo + Somali + Somali + Somali @ 1.133845
3 Ethiopian_Oromo + Ethiopian_Wolayta + Somali + Somali @ 1.576311
4 Somali + Somali + Somali + Somali @ 1.831702

Wait, how do you share genetic affinity with Wolayta, they are largely omotic. Somalis have very tiny omotic DNA, if any at all?
Wolayta are not pure omotics.Majority of their ancestry is largely cushite(probably language shifters) and they score similar West Eurasian levels to Somalis although a tad bit lower then us.Obviously as a JB/HA we have never neighbored those folks so it's probably in my opinion a distant Akisho/Jaarso/Eastern Oromo female.

Can you explain how the population approximation show you had an oromo female ancestor? Also what does the number at the end mean?
Shit be confusing.
A pure Somali would score Somali + Somali + Somali + Somali as their closest population when using 4-population mix but I consistently get some Ethiopian Oromo/Wolayta(Oromo-like folks). The reason I know the ancestor is female and not male is because I took an Y-DNA test years ago with 12 str markers and my results were exactly the same as the other SM and now even CM.Which shows I descend directly from Subeyr Awal(probably wasn't even his real name lol)
Also the numbers in the end signify how close you are to a population, the smaller the number are the more similar you are to that population
Using 1 population approximation:
1 Somali @ 1.422973
2 Ethiopian_Oromo @ 5.201436
3 Ethiopian_Wolayta @ 5.443871
4 Ethiopian_Amhara @ 14.676268
5 Ethiopian_Tigray @ 16.797710
6 Ethiopian_Ari_cultivator @ 24.137976
7 Maasai @ 28.832952
8 Hadza @ 35.790165
9 Ethiopian_Gumuz @ 36.008053
10 Sandawe @ 36.843685
11 Ethiopian_Anuak @ 41.566128
12 Sudanese @ 44.401775
13 Moroccan @ 54.226421
14 Egyptian @ 55.207348
15 Algerian @ 55.723610
16 Mozabite_Berber @ 55.915329
17 Tunisian @ 57.319668
18 Bedouin @ 60.148987
