Isaaq was the wealthiest clan in Somalia, at least the wealthiest clan in the north. We have always been traders. The major source of hard currency in the Somali Republic era was our port and the livestock trade which we dominated. If you want to dispute that be by guest. We had no political power but we owned the economy, name a top 10 list of wealthiest Somalis in the 50s, 60s and 70s and its mostly Isaaq.
