Surprised the hell out of me, because i was skeptical about the UAE.
It seems that the UAE is a front for the US, they really badly want this to go through and its all because of whats going on in Yemen, and Syria/IRaq.
Everyone knows i am against the Empire, but there is a stick that goes along with the carrot of $2billion investment.
There is a gun to our heads and if our leaders had the stupidity and moral fortitude to decline this opurtunity we would be royally fucked.
This is a win for Somaliland , thank you Russia, Iran and the houtis for scaring the shit out of the Empire ,
and may god have mercy on us for our sins.
Why would it be a front for America? What do they have to hide or Are they not welcome, because we know Somaliland needs Recognition and having America for an ally and hosting American soldier's would help with that & American protection & Investment.

looks like the Emirates are ready to recognise the renegade province of Somalia just because the Turks have come to Somalia's rescue. This act of treachery wont be forgotten

Says the refugee who fled his land and came to Jubba regions with his Kikuyu daddy.

Should we compare the two deals?

How much is Kenya paying you for the unmonitored multiple bases that they enter as they wish?

Are they leaving any key infrastructures?

What is the monetary value of that "deal"?

Was it authorised by any legislative even the caano bodhe council?

Come back when you have answers and Somali people can compare our reports and the end benefits.

Until then this topic is not for refugees/foreigners. A Cagdheer on the run is no different than Palestinian roaming around Jordan and in bed with an Israeli agents.

I told you guys months ago. This is a covert pivot of the USA from Djibouti to Somaliland. Partly because Djibouti & Ethiopia have got into bed with China. In a few years we will see USA base in Djibouti also moved to Somaliland and we should welcome them. This just the prelude, USA keeping its options open, setting the groundwork for possible future changes
I've been saying this, and being in my field - I can tell you it's ALREADY UNDERWAY.

I personally don't believe those funds will be spend as intended. It's every imbecile's dream to hear about a deal this incredible and multi-faceted, but the reality is we are in an unregulated 'country'. The president, his wife and whoever else will take pieces and will have their share soon enough. Hospitals? Common. :(

What if all those things materialize? Would you then congratulate or you will find a new things to criticize SL of?

I am thinking It is the latter.

So is this going to be presented to the parliament to be ratified? I mean why would they have
voted on something that hasn't been signed yet...The executive branch engages in foreign deals
then legislature is suppose to scrutinize, and then approve. Where is the transparency?
