Somaliland is a tribal enclave, development is absolutely fine, build ports, grow economically and prosper Allah knows you need it with all the tahriib coming from your ends, but a foreign military base is a matter of deep concern to me, whiles respecting the autonomy of Somaliland this is a matter of national sovereignty.

As a man the idea of having thousands of foreign boots and military installations in my land makes my skin crawl, I don't care what they pay, there are other ways to get money and develop. I don't know about you but I feel like both Somaliland and Mogadishu undervalue the strategic and lucrative position we are in by signing lifetime contracts and being short sighted to make a quick buck, at least Mogadishu has a serious security concern and a sense f urgency which is why alot of deals are bad but necessary to be less reliant on neighboring profiteers like Kenya and the Ethiopia.
