Auditor-General is in the EXECUTIVE branch. Parliament CONFIRMS the position but the Executive branch nominates and fires.

The Auditor General will be fired by a decree of the President with the votw/advice by the Cabinet headed by the Prime Minister.

So it's the Prime Minister's choice to fire and the President just signs the cabinet's decision.

As Auditor general, he has immunity, thus can't be investigated as long as he holds that position- meaning he has to be fired before he can be investigated- being suspended or relocated to other parts of the country would mean he still has immunity

If you read properly, you will understand that I solely explained why he had to be fired, rather than suspended.

I was simply giving legal reasons why he was fired so that an investigation against him could be started, of course I didn't mean that he can kill because he has immunity, rather I was countering your suggestion of suspension, which is legally impossible if an investigation is to be started.


Sacking= No longer the position= no longer immunity = investigation can be started.
Suspension/transfer= still holds the position, therefore immunity = investigation can't be initiated.
( an official with immunity cannot be investigated)

I hope this is clearer, and stops this argument of suspending him until proven guilty and what not.

My sources says the decision to fire AG is politically motivated. The opportunity was too good to ignore. It all started when warfaafinta agaasime was fired due to him not playing ball after a western gov offered a large grant for a propaganda purposes. AG said it is my job to investigate and the fired dude has a right to defend himself against the corruption charges. The PM and folks who have close connection with him weren't happy with the AG hence the unconstitutional firing. The Marxuum AUN is being used to advance a completely different agenda. Everyone knows the security situation in Xamar and the tactic used by AS to ram and blow up their target. Farmajo convoy killed innocent ppl, so you can't pick and choose which case is worth investigating.
