So not to make the UK appear like it's a Third World country where there's no safety standards/regulations, minimize the tragedy, prevent panic, etc. The truth is, most of UK's housing & infrastructure are very old, in decrepit and dilapidated conditions, sometimes not fit for humans. The country's state of economy cannot afford to dayactir. The problem is compounded by the UK being one of the most crowded/populated countries in the world. When a tragedy occurs, particularly in a densely populated building or area, it affects many people.

Aisha, wan gartay. Then that idiot Boris should be held responsible for cutting fire services. You may not need it everyday but when you do you better be well equipped and ready. This is an essential service! Ps arnt gov helping those who lost everything? Like housing, $$? This is a national tragedy! ppl should be donating, gov should match each donation. ^ 58 dead current toll. They located 28 dead bodies in the building. There is still another 300 or so missing yet to be identified. Which means that a lot bodies might simply not be recovered due to extremity of the fire, that fire was almost red in colour; and also the building was burning till the end of Friday for non stop, so you can imagine by then bones have turned into ashes.
