What about muscular development and bone size?. Will it take 1 generation for us develop bigger bones and pre and post adolescent muscle definition?
Obviously you can improve muscularity and bone density with weight lifting. But i am curious to what degree can it be achieved naturally through solely nutrition?
Yes, brother, all it takes is just one generation. Look at all short parents with tall children. Once a child is born, their development and growth is determined by lifestyle and nutrition.
Nutrition is EVERYTHING. People underestimate it especially us Somalis, because since birth we have been fed food which damages and destroy our stomach and gut health.
Lower stomach acid means the body doesn’t break down the fats and proteins.
Without essential amino acids we cannot develop muscle fibers
Without fats, we cannot develop properly with fat soluble vitamins
Damaged intestinal walls means, weaker immune system and inability to absorb vital minerals and vitamins. The gut is where the key nutrients are absorbed.
Without Zinc (Controls Hormones), Magnesium (Controls blood sugar levels, regulates insulin), Selenium (For prostate and thyroid health), Vitamin K2 (To shutter calcium to the bone), and so on, we have poor hormone response such as low testosterone, low human growth hormone levels and rampant insulin issues.
And now with low HGH, we have less muscle fibers, less bone density(Because of high insulin levels and refined sugars) and less testosterone meaning smaller muscle mass. Diet > Digestion > Hormones > Development > Bone and Muscle development, completely outside parents control post birth,
Michael Jordan is 6’6 yet his dad was 5’10 and mom 5’5. Jeremy Lin parents both are mere 5’6. Wilt Chamberlain is 7’1 yet his dad was 5’8 and mother 5’8. Moses Malone is 6’10 and father is 5’6 and mom is meagre 5’2 and so on with a lot of NBA players.
Over my years I have meet a lot of Koreans at Uni, Gym and sports. A lot of these guys were 6’0-6’4. And I always asked them what their parents height were for my research(LOL), and none of their parents were greater than 5’9. And the difference is their parents grew up in Asia on a low fat, low calorie stable Korean diet while the Westernized Koreans grew up on a stable Korean diet but with lots of red meat, eggs and cheese.
Why are these food key?
Tryptophan is an amino acid that is converted to serotonin, which increases HGH (Human Growth Hormone) during sleep.
Tryptophan is a routine constituent of most protein-based foods or dietary proteins. It is particularly plentiful in chocolate, oats, dried dates, milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, red meat, eggs, fish, poultry, sesame, chickpeas, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, spirulina, and peanuts.
And that's about it. You will grow as tall and as quickly as your genes dictate. Fixed for ever at the moment of conception. All that can disrupt this is severe illness or severe malnutrition in childhood.
Think of a child as a clean slate, what you put in it and how it lives determine its outcome not what it's made from.
I'll send you a link, which you will enjoy and it explains what I mean in more depth as I cannot be arsed to type much more about this topic.
