Darood vs Somali. Darood stands on it own. Been like that since the '60s. They needed "Irir" to combat our influence in the pre-Kacaan govts and Post-Kacaan civil war.
Again. Darood is more. Don't be silly idoors.
The numbers dont lie.
And it kind of explains why you as a clan need the protection of state and can not survive on your own against other clans without hiding behind the Somali state. This was true in both Somaliland and Somalia. When the state disintegrated, you were humiliated by the larger clans in both Somalia and Somaliland. Which is why you were forced, in the absence of a Somali state that you can hide behind, to use foreigners against other Somalis (Ethiopia/Kenya etc). Being the only Somali clan to do so.
It all makes sense when you take into account that you come in at no.3 in Somalia behind Hawiye and Raxanweyn, as well as coming at no.3 in Somaliland behind Isaaq and Dir.
In the absence of a Somali state that you can manipulate while shedding crocodile tears for Somaliweyn, you face the unforgiving limitations of being a minority clan, unable to compete with larger groups.
