This was a huge mistake and something that wasn’t necessary. Some war criminals are better than others for political reasons.

This is different this is the President of Somalia.
Not the tribal leader of Marexan or the govonor of Dusamareeb.

He is a national unity symbol yet instead of healing wounds he has exercised out right arrogance and disregard.
As they say the leopard never changes its spots.

I would very much distance from a guy who is facing a lawsuit filed against him by the entire Isaq North Americans.. Not a good look, atleast do it secretly. I see the facebook post has since been taken down, but I presume copies of it are already in circulation.

The civil war was between Darod and Hawiye in failed state Zoomalia.

Tuke participated in state sponsored genocide. A genocide confirmed by renowned genocide scholars. That’s the difference!

So how is it hypocrisy?

If someone says CAYDIID, before the next second is finished,I say ILAAHAY HA U NAXARIISTO!

I am not surprised by our Somalilander friends. Like I said their entire political aspirations are built on grievances. I'm not insulting. It's a strategic political tool to achieve achieve their goal of independence.

However for us reer Somalia, our political aspirations are built on reconciliation and not grievances which is why Qaybdeed sits in the Senate across from Faroole though he is actually implicated directly (with videos on YouTube no less) ordering the extra judicial executions of Majeerteen hostages on Araare bridge.

Farmaajo just took a random pic with this guy where we don't even know the context that made it possible yet Sacad made Qaybdeed their regional president and then a Senator.

No one chases him and no one should chase him because Qaybdeed was not unique. He was not alone and he was not an outlier.

We have chosen to overlook this history and move towards the future with reconciliation in mind.

I think Abkoow and our Hawiye friends playing devil's advocate should keep this in mind.

Genocide ku kahaa. Go away please. You're too much.

Also, at least Tuke was a military officer following a legitimate state law enforcement directive which is 1000% more reasonable and understandable than murderous warlords not sanctioned or guided by anything except factional rape and murder.

You guys are too much which is why I have stopped even caring to hear anything you guys have to say.

There's not a country on earth that would have done differently than what Somalia did vis-a-vis SNM rebellion.

You pretty much wrote what I was thinking. Selective outrage. The head of Somalia's NSS, Daahir Riyaal, and probably the torturer in chief of the former regime (if there was one) was the ruler of Hargaisa not long ago. War criminal Muuse Biixi is the current ruler of Hargaisa. Anigoo wax dili kara duco qaadan maayo.

The usual disingenuous arguments made by people from failed state Zoomalia, who are without a doubt our eternal enemies.

1. Riyaale was not the head of NSS. Ina Dafle was. The NSS in Berbera headed by Riyaale was a subbranch of their main office in Hargeisa controlled by the para military group called Dabar Goynta Isaaqa.

Not a single person testified against Riyaale or else he would’ve been killed by the SNM.

2. Anigoo wax dili kara, duco qaadan maayo is a famous line from one of Hadraawis poems.

Muuse Biixi was a 1977/78 war hero like the majority of SNM, who took a lions share in that war. He rightfully chose to defend his people against a regime that was carrying out a genocide against Isaaq.

Colonel Tuke 's clan is from the North . His clan today is aligned with Somaliland . Why ? Because we treat them as our brothers , our equals and rely on time tested organic somali traditional ways and means of conflict resolution .
The tribe of the current president of Somalia has repeatedly shown a tendency to rely on force and ignominious ways of solidifying power and as history is my witness always lost .
Among this clan the Marehan , the nobles are never heard ( like sultan of order up there )
It always the herds of baboons that get to spread their shit all over the place

Boon, are you still crying?

So burning unarmed civilians to death is legitimate under the false pretense of fighting rebels?

According to reports from both HRW and GAO, the regime carried out aerial and artillery bombardments against residential areas after evacuating all non Isaaq from the city. According to the reports the SNM were not anywhere near Hargeisa.

Under the Geneva convention these types of attacks are indiscriminate and Afweyne, under international law, was obliged to protect civilian lives but he didn't because his goal was to wipe out Isaaq civilians not save them.

With that said, Somaliland’s case for re-recognitions is not based on grievances. The quest for Somali irredentism is dead and we decided to reclaim our country. It’s that simple.

Allow the constant calaacal for goodness sake. All Tukeh has to do is support their project and they will forget what he did yesterday. I call it fake tears because there are lots of people who worked for barre in Somaliland gov/high society.
