Ok so I don't want to get involved with this because I don't even like discussions like this tribe looks this way or that way because it's nothing more than another manifestation of Somali tribal fadhi ku dirir but Sahal's theory of Xawaadle actually reminds me of something my mom's Baadicadde cousin once told me.

She said dadka Hiiraan dego Gaaljecel baa ugu quruxbadan ilaahay haduu u jeedo. She said people think Xawaadle because odeygi Hadraawi spread the news that Hiiraan has beautiful girls and the first thing that comes to people's minds when they hear Hiiraan is a Xawaadle.

She said waagi hore Arab traders sent by Sultan Barqash (Zanzibar/Oman) used to live up the Shabelle River to move things up and down from the port of Mogadishu to the interior.

She said Gaaljecel and Baadicadde nomads used to surround them and bring them milk/meat to buy. Apparently Gaaljecel heavily intermixed with them. According to my Baadicadee aunt, she said it is rare to come across a Gaaljecel in Hiiraan without some mixed grandma or great-grandma.

She said that's why Gaaljecel "faradheerka" kale way ka cad yihiin because even if they are not quite Sheekhaasha Gendershe who fully became Cadcad, they are halfway "faradheer" iyo "cadcad."

It made total sense wallahi because I have seen Xawaadle and they represent nothing atypical to most Somali faradheer, lakin most Gaaljecel girls I have seen remind me of Benaadiri.

Smile, would you please stop the yasid/xenophobia? That's why you have Sahal bringing Facebook pics of random Somali mothers.

Django, if the Gaaljecel of Jubba look different to the Gaaljecel of Hiiraan, it's probably because what I talked about above is location-specific. The Gaaljecel on the Upper Shabelle valley between Buloburte and Beled-Weyne are the ones who mixed with those Arabs.

Probably the same thing as why Sheekhasha Gendershe (Marka area) look Banaadiri and totally different to, say, Sheekhasha Aw-Qutub in Kililka 5naad

It's also the same reason why you will sometimes be very surprised by the two Digil and Mirifle clans of Hadame and Dabbare. The original Arab trading community of the Jubba Valley opposite to the ones in Shabelle Valley used to be in Baardheere and Luuq. As Gedo became Marehan and everyone else, the ones in Luuq went from paying mag with Mirifle to a wholesale integration with Hadame and the ones in Baardheere did the same similarly with the Digil clan of Dabarre. Guys like former defense minister Cabdixakiin Xaaji Fiqi are from this history.

Voltage is right. Baardheere, Luuq had a Yemeni community. Both my Parents had inlaw relatives from those two towns who came from Yemen a long time ago. Horta Yemenis, Lebanese are the biggest hustlers of the Arabs. You’ll hear of a Lebanese from West Africa and Yemenis from deep in Somalia.

I met this one very old Arab guy in Kuwait. He was like he’s taken boats to Kismaayo, Southern Somalia all the time, he was like ‘Aah Darood Ismaeel, Darood Ismaeel’. I was like :wtf:

I’ve also heard of all these Arabs from Bakool, etc who speak Maay Maay.

Arabs were not localised in South Somalia they were also in the Ogaden region.qalafe,Godey, Jijgjiga etc Haile Selasie passed a law that saw them kicked out from Ethiopia and they came to settle in Somalia.
I think because he was refused to join the Arab league or be a sitting member.

ugaas diinis hawadle wife gabdheey ku biloowdey so he used to like the OG one who had mainly boys then one day the hawadle gave birth to warsame wich means warsan, bishaaro then sharmarke and siyad. he switched to the hawadle one so the OG used to hit her boys. perhabs that why the ugaas line comes from them. very similar to the prophet yuusufs story hated by his older half brothers and he became the prophet instead of them.

yes baadicadde and gaaljecel have lighte skinned folks this is common in all hiiraan but people only see hawadle if you go to daafeed/walawayn you will be surprised how light skinned r ode cadde of gaaljecel they live with garre who r considered as part of the central banadiri. they r at war with caafi another gaaljecel subclan and some how garre r backing ode cadde! you never know qabiil is confederation at the end.
but one ut comes to the beauty of women hawadleey are the queens of the south they got three things in common; cute faces some with habashi faces like this she is abit fat but she got nice small and face. 2-they tend to have brown skin, 2 nice body. hardy to find such girls who compained with these three things except in dhulbahante and OG to some extent but they r the tall and have nice body with less facial beaty.

these days all girls look beauful thanks to make up and lighter skinned thanks to diyaano im going to show you this girl with no make up on look that beautful face

ali madaxweyne

ali madaxweyne(most beautiful hawadle girls are ali madaxwayne)

cabdi yuusuf look reer xamar but i have no space accepts only 5 links
