The Federal government is not responsible for a lone police officer shooting at civilians. What they are responsible for is bringing him to justice for his actions, which they have done.

Having said that, I do believe the failed opposition attempted to stir up the civilians into committing criminal acts that would compromise public safety. I commend the police for promptly clearing the streets of those elements and restoring order.

The victims of the shooting were abgaal and the perpetrator was habar gidir that much is clear. I also have heard of intel that ties him as an agent working directly with the mucarad to start this charade.

As for Farmaajo and how he's handled this position, I'm very aware of how he's been distant from tolka but his detractors will have you believe he's some sort of capo qabil it's comical if anything. Enforcing things on somalis has proven to be a tricky subject since people are constantly on edge and this corona lockdown is no different. I thought about your viewpoint of "don't enforce it let them taste it's fruits" but if that happens, the effects will be blamed on the government for not taking it seriously enough. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. So the government taking it seriously from the beginning is the best position for the real stakeholders in Somalia which are many.
