^^ Dumbazz, whether you like it or not Somalia is going to be a liberal Muslim state, We are not ignorant arabs..and after 15 years of civil War why would we recontruct our country to become a mullah state potentially shaky and waiting to re-collapse. I hope that Somalia becomes a liberal democractic state like Malaysia and not Turkey!! I want Somalis to love their country and respect their majority faith, in this case islam. No somali wants a mullah state, we were never socially/culturally derranged like the arabs, and we should not go down that path after years of civil war!!

Dont you at least know that Arabs have christians among their population as well as Jews?? Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt even Yemen and Marroco have some Jews...actually only Somalia and Indonesia and SA are 99% muslim...so if anything you have more chances living among Arabs than Somalis when it comes to being an Atheist.

Well let me fill you in then...up north of what is now "broken into pieces somalia"...there are several regions seperated from the rest of somalia, and this recently independent region of Somalia is called Somaliland....you might want to get educated on Somalia since 1991...things have changed!!

I hope you continue creating topics like this one. I studied sociology and politics and I am currently working in Mogaishu helping the university. I am going back to Europe next month to help set up scholarships for somalis for mogadishu to study in Europe.

There were two big Churches standing tall in Mogadishu and Michael Marino, a Christian Isaaq was Somalia's diplomat of the highest rank to Zambia!

You know what, i am not isaaq at all, but i can't be dumb azz ignorant like you and pretend Somaliland doesn't exist....infact Go just google it!!! Somaliland does exist, these are people sick of greater Somalia 's very tedious progress, naturally there will always be parts of turbelent states who will seek to seperate inorder to bring change within their regions. The point now is not to deny Somaliland but to communicate and bring our provinces back together to form one complete Somalia.

B-Max those days are long gone...remember we had Cumar Carte RIP as our foreign minister once in our respected history...so things change...lets hope for better this time...just like they were in the 70s...or even much better Insha Allah.
