Of course people in SL government were part of the former regime because they were ministers and what not, did you expect us to elect some geeljire to power; if you are speaking about Daahir Riyaale, yeah its stupid to elect him or any minister who wronged SL people during the former regime. There is a difference in being a minister in the former regime and being a minister who went out of his way to hurt SL people. The leader of Kulmiye Mujaahid Silaanyo never went out of his way to kill his kin in the name of the former regime; as I have said I won't mind if Riyaale and his Isaaq cronies are rounded and killed, it would be a great day. Somalia where retards and warlords roam free might have a better chance of getting its act together, maybe then we can have dialogue or war; I hope will live to see that day.

This are the seeds of tribalism and hate among Somalis. This is the result of lawlessness and anarchy. Why are people fleeing away from their homeland? Why are they throwing themselves into the hands of cruel and evil smugglers?

First and foremost, I must congratulate the Somaliland Supreme Court for dismissing this case. It has bolstered the view that Somaliland’s judiciary is independent of any political persuasion. It proves, that the judicial system - albeit dysfunctional in many respect – is a place where justice is served. No where in the Horn of Africa, is the rule of law more evident.

Second, I would like to address the Somaliland people in this forum, who have shown their displeasure at letting these ONLF riff raff go. You might wonder, how come that the same people who have leveled Hargeisa with the ground, can have their day in court and be acquitted. How come, the same people who were given Hargeisa as a gift so long as they became Afweyne’s foot soldiers, live peace fully in the same city they have transgressed upon. However, you must understand regardless of how obscure and absurd and illogical and ironic it may seem ultimately we are a people of faith. It is in our religion to forgive and strive to make a new beginning. Somaliland was built with that spirit in mind to start a new together. It is the sole reason today that we are able to live in a multi-clan oasis in a sea of desert. Look around; tell me any other Somali City that four clans share with one administration??? That city is Ceerigaabo and it is in Somaliland. Tell me how is it possible that the inhabitants of Yagoori and Adhi Cadeeye, and Xudun pledge allegiance to Somaliland? Is it out of tribe? Afcourse not! It is simply because they share this vision of a new beginning. It is a beginning with a foundation in justice, peace, and progress. I will admit, Somaliland is in its infancy in fulfilling those ideals. Yet, we must concede it is in the right path. Why else would these men get a fair trail? To me, it is not about the ONLF, but it is about the ability for the Supreme Court to give a verdict against what the prosecution was hoping for. It is a decision we hope will give the judiciary the credibility they badly need.

Finally, to the Somaliland detractors, mock all you like. However, once Somaliland’s ship is in full steam, Somalis will demand what the citizens of Borama, to Ceerigabo enjoy. Let freedom reign. Until then, let the Somaliland Flag with the creed of our religion give you a sight for sore eyes.
