There is more to the taliban and pre-invasion Afghanistan than what Western Media outlets cover! CNN covers NOTHING compared to networks like Al jazeera and BBC cover...I have personally spoken to afghans, tajiks and uzbeks who lived in this area..Some who opposed the taliban and some who supported them...

It's a known fact that western media is ONLY interested in the negative aspects of tthe Islamic world. All u hear is women's rights in Islam and how men are abusive....They used to say taht the taliban didn't allow girls to attend school. I read news stories abou how thE Taliban were building nursing schools and colleges for women. They were poor and could barely educate men, let alone men....there is always 2 sides to most stories...just look at the muslim version before u belief the obviously biased western version...

He took a life he had no right to. The family of the victim can of course choose to forgive him but he has to die if they don't want blood money......It's the Law man....

Lets not carry away here. Like Lion stated PUBLIC execution is encourage but it has to be done properly. Not with a kid holding a knife and chasing some guy with it while stabbing him in the heart. They didnÃ¢Â€Â™t even tie the guy right. Now that is barbaric.

You need to read more Islamic books bro. There is no gray area in Islamic law. You kill and you will be killed. Actually it's better for the murdered to be executed and pay his/her life for the life he/she took.

Of course the punishment fit the crime in this case but how it carry out is questionable.

Killers should lose their lives for the lives they have taken.But what disturbs me is the fashion this was carried out.How do you deter people from killing if you desensitize them by exposing them to such spectacle of gruesome murder.Murder I say,coz old dude obviously was passionate to stab a bloody man lying on his back.Justice would have been served if the killer was beheaded,or shot him in the head etc.Listen folks,these are killers masked under religion.Like the Talibans that molested young boys and flogged women for wearing high heals
