Cindrella....Well, i got many demons. Laughing Laughing

I'm dealing with them sister...Ii ducee.

B-MAX...Brother you seem NOT to understand the meaning of the hadeeth or interpreting hadeeths. It's not literal walaal. The sister is not advocating we drive a nail through some1's hand. I really didn't want to go further into this but let me tell what the leading sheikh in Somalia, Sheikh Sharif Abdi Nur taught me...

I have personally haven't read thsi hadeeth before but there is another hadeeth thats' very similar to it. It basically says that shaking hand with the opposite sex is like combing your hair with a comb made of hell-fire. And in the translitteration, the sheikh explained that one should avoid shaking hands with the opposite sex and to re-enforce the gravity of the sin, the Deen always uses examples and metaphors so humans can understand the danger of these sins...got it? good, now i gotta go to bed.

suckle him before shake his hands.
( naaskaaga nuuji marka hore )

' A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Sahla bint Suhail came to Allah's Apostle (may peace be eupon him) and said: Messengerof Allah, I see on the face of Abu Hudhaifa (signs of disgust) on entering of Salim (who is an ally) into (our house), whereupon Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: Suckle him. She said: How can I suckle him as he is a grown-up man? Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) smiled and said: I already know that he is a young man 'Amr has made this addition in his narration that he participated in the Battle of Badr and in the narration of Ibn 'Umar (the words are): Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) laughed.

as I said it is haram to shake hands with non-mahem women not only that it is even haram to look at a non-mahrem women if 'not' for the sake of nikah [this dose not give you right to gzae at all women/men even Tv ect], and under very few other very limited cases you can have a glanse at a woman like curt issues and witnesses issues ... everying on our body can make zina if it is not controled and here is another hadeeth !

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Allah has written the very portion of Zina which a man will indulge in. There will be no escape from it. The Zina of the eye is the (lustful) look, the Zina of the ears is the listening (to voluptuous songs or talk), the Zina of the tongue is (the licentious) speech, the Zina of the hand is the (lustful) grip, the Zina of the feet is the walking (to the place where he intends to commit Zina), the heart yearns and desires and the private parts approve all that or disapprove it.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

“Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things)”

[al-Noor 24:30]

The Noble Qur'an Ghaafir 40:19

Allâh knows the fraud of the eyes, and all that the breasts conceal.

how can we touch if you doubt the hadeeth something Allah has made it haram to look at in the first place ?? Can you imagine your selves touching a man / women you did not even see her face in the first place ?

Allah also said:

"Nor does he (Prophet) speak out of his desire. (What he says) is nothing but revelation that is revealed." (Quran 53:3-4).

Meaning whatever he says comes from Allah !

He, Exalted, also said:

"Whatever apostle tells you accept it, and from whatever he forbids you, keep back."
(Quran 59:7).

lets not forget this verse from the Quran ==>

“It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allaah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allaah and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed into a plain error”

[al-Ahzaab 33:36]

Our opinions has to concurs with the Quran and Sunnah

Brothers and sisters do not take this sin lightly, by being obedient to the creation while disobeying their Creator.. There is not obedient in disobeying Allah..

How can we seek humans love affections and respect while disobeying Allah and earning his anger? It won’t be easy some people will get offended some will respect you some will through a cheap line at you that so and so also Muslim dose shake the hand but you will earn Allah’s love and mercy..

Some kaafirs even get shocked when a muslim tries to shake thier hands and they say dose your religion not say so and so regard shaking hands with non-mahrems and these muslims all ways feel ashamed!

some other kaafirs knows this so they do not shake the hands of the muslims they do not put forword the hands to the Opposite sex and you know what some of THESE MUSLIMS FEEL OFFENDED and they feel as if this non-believer is being a racist Laughing

Anyhow !!!!!!!!!!!!

You pick which one weight most on your scale Allah’s love Iyo Ralinimo or his creations love?

It all really comes down to that..

In my view if it is not mentioned in the Qura'an, then it is xaraam to make it xaraam when Allah didn't so. I will search for the ayat that says so. Sister here you are talking about xaraam.

Yes, I shake my clients hands not for sexual purpose.[/quote]

Lol @ shaking hands with clients, this can be a problem for many in the West, there was a talk on awhile bk where the scholars and many disputing the matter, but it is open for interpretation.

SomaliSiZz, thank you for the topic!. I have known this for a very long time now and I definately avoid shaking hands with men as much as I can. Gladly I'm never out in a situation like that but that might change in the future.

Call it any other name but I know it that it is not xaraam. I do it without the intent of sexual arrousal Laughing . Saudi leaders (men) and most male Muslim leaders shake Condolice Rice's hand, because it is strictly for business. Let us not make things xaraam, if Allah didn't. The glove was sarcasm. Enough said.
