Again......
Back to Sir Luggooyo original point....Barre's Major Achievements was to LOCK the moryaans in a cage for all those years, thereby making Somalia--a peaceful liveable place. Essentially he gave Somalia something virtually impossible to have now---'peace'! And of course the word Moryaan Was capitally unknown untill Barre was chased out of the country!
Ok ok lets not forget also ..equally the birth of another new word..--'Faqaash' describing appropriately of course the nefarious Daroods.

LH,
Ma waxaa lagaa kari la'yahay adeerkay oo adigana awoow kuugu aaddan? War wax isku fal waryaa waad ceebowdaye. How does Mohamed Ibnu Marexan
tolerate your insecurities?
Basra,
Thank you for your succinct and wise contribution, I knew you had it in you but you'd rather play the devil incarnate.
Who else could've kept the wild dogs in leash? They are capable of doing everything ..and I mean everything literally........ just read the stories coming out of the capital city and compare. And please, do not utter the progress of S-Land in the same breath as the Moryans, S-Land is a token of peace and prosperity, I am gonna retire in Hargeisa if Kismayo is inaccessible

he was an intelligent leader you never knew how he thought just like sayid he was far ahead of these pll till today i think he studied 1 of sayid poems he was the only 1 who knew things of these 2 tribes isaaqs and mjs and today look to them and you know what i mean these 2 tribes especally mjs were beeing armed and trained by the amxaaro dont know about isaaqs lakiin i know that c.yusuf the leader of ssdf worked for mengistu and thats why 1 of the reasons they created the ssdf to fight against the goverment amxaaro feared siyaad barre like they used to do back in the glory days of axmed gurey so like always they used divide&rule strategy but what a intelligent leader he was he knew about amxaaro tricks so what did he, he attacked them and weakend the rebelgroup ssdf he had no choise but he knew after that it was amxaaro trick was to choise the isaaqs and they know the isaaqs cus when they fight they fight like warrios and they could go solo and they could recapture their country back and siyaad knew all of that thats why he used all those northern tribes against the isaaqs but amxaaro knew isaaqs would never give up and siyaad knew that 2 just like he did to the sddf thing he bombed hargeisa and burco he had no choise it was just like a game they played just wait and see who will rule it, the battle will go about who will rule somalia ore ethopia ,siyaad became frustated but the amxaaro waited for the right moment and that was when amxaaro sucdeed to create the usc spm and that was the beginning of the end i just dislike if ppl attacking others cuss of tribalism shit its just 15 years ago when siyaad left us and ppl are till today talking about how bad he was while our country is still fucked up who are you to insult him or others atleast he did some good things for somalia but what did you do for ur country, the day you do some good shit for somalia than talk
nomatter what he did but for the somali ppl he will be always rememberd as an heroe

Qudhacow
Awoow take a deep breath, I don't want you to die angry> Bal neefta iska sii daa. I always give credit where it is due and General Mohamed Siad Barre deserves some credit. Apart from what he has accomplished, he managed to keep the wolves at bay and peace and tranquility reigned the country.
I am not saying he was an angel, and like every human being he made mistakes and committed errors ..... well, you can not compare to what is happening there now, so take a chill bill with a bourbon and relax
